Micro-transactions as a positive? Normally, paying additional money to enjoy a game is ludicrous. But paying 10 dollars for a fully satisfying Mega Man title is arguably a bargain. So perhaps we can cut Capcom some modest slack for a few extra thrills. One of the most anticipated DLCs is the ability to play as Proto Man, coming at a cost of 200 Wii points. While that may seem a bit steep for a single character, it should satisfy a long-held dream of Mega Man enthusiasts. Ever since his debut in Mega Man 3, many have dreamed of playing as the mysterious 8-bit protagonist.
Without the knowledge of how exactly the game is designed, it's difficult to accurately predict any surprises in the DLC. The level-scanning abilities of Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 were awesome in theory but gravely neglected in practice. A similar ability to obtain an indefinite amount of additional levels would be an enormous benefit. If the instruction manual is telling the whole story, then this might not be happening. Either way, October 20th's "Special Stage" DLC should keep us happy, as it promises a new boss at the end! Perhaps Capcom has finally decided to use the Robot Master idea that I sent to Nintendo Power years ago. Just you wait for the glorious debut of Osteoporosis Man!
