Heard it's on the shortish side with almost no sidequests, which makes the $60 price tag hard to justify.

Will DEFINITELY pick up after a price drop or two.

Sounds cool but since its a 360 re-release at full price i probably wont get it. Plus Little Big Planet comes out that day so I'll be focused on that for a while. I might get it if the price drops to an understandable price. There are too many good games coming out withing the next few months >.

If you want more JRPGs to come to PS3, you better buy it and not wait for a price drop. It not selling well will convince Namco to not bother bringing ToV to PS3 and maybe never bringing RPGs to PS3 (and other publishers will be watching too).

Just so all of you know, I do own an Xbox 360. Just so all of you know, I do own most of the JRPG's that have been released on the system. (Hint, hint Sony!) Just so you know, here is a list of titles:
1. Infinite Undiscovery-Hint, hint sony
2. Blue Dragon-Hint, hint Sony.
3. Lost Odysse-I think I spelled that right. Hint, hint Sony
4. Tales of Vesparia-Ditto. Hint, hint Sony
5. Star Ocean 4-See bottom note. Hint, hint Sony
6. Battle Fantasia-Not a JRPG per se, but close enough. Hint, hint Sony.
But, here is what I own on the PS3:
1. Enchanted Arms
2. Folklore
3. Oblivion-GotY: Not a JRPG, but an RPG all the same
4. Eternal Sonata: When it comes out. I'll even pay full price for it since my poor ol' PS3 is JRPG hungry and so that the developers out there will know that there is at least one person who is willing to buy PS3 JRPG's. Tears for Tiara and it's sequal please.
5. Fallout 3: Ditto
My philosophy is that if the game goes multi-platform, it goes on the PS3. I can't say for sure whether that Star Ocean 4 and Tales of Vesperia will come to the PS3 or not, but if either happens to do so, then I'll sell my 360 copies for the PS3 ones.
I may be a PS3 fanboy, but I'm a JRPGamer first. I hate having to buy these games on that system, but I'll do anything to play them. Please don't flame me but look at this comment as a message to Sony telling them that people will only hold onto one system for so long before they move onto others if there are no games that interest them.
As for the Xbox 360 fanboys who are about to flame me, just be aware that I DO OWN a 360, I just happen to prefer my PS3 more. And to all of the children; Congradulations!

Sorry for my bad punctuation and spelling. I felt that I had to throw that in there so all of you out there don't think I'm an idiot. Also, please don't flame me at all. I don't like it and I don't want to be stabbed to death because someone happens to disagree with my views. I just felt like putting my earlier comment out there so I can tell people about my feeling on the state of affairs of JRPG's on the PS3. BTW, if you do happen to own a PS3, please pick up Eternal Sonata so Bandai-Namco, Square-Enix, Atlus, and the like will know that there is a market for those types of games on the system. Thanks!
