You fire up your Xbox 360. Set yourself comfortable in a chair. Scroll down the dashboard menu and select your copy of (insert your online shooter of choice here) and... wait... what the?! XBOX LIVE ISN'T WORKING!

Oh, yeah! Remember kids, Xbox Live is down all day today until early tomorrow. The 24-hour downtime on Xbox Live will help prepare for the New Xbox Experience. The NXE will completely change the Xbox 360 dashboard you know and love into something Microsoft believes will be much cleaner and appealing to a wider audience.

So the new dashboard is totally coming out tomorrow, right? Sorry. This downtime is just prep. No new features are expected when the Xbox Live service returns. What will you be playing for the next day?

My embedded gamertag is not working either. I think in the past during down times it still would. Oh well. I am at school all day anyways.

xbox.com does not work in any capacity any more. They said it would. It did earlier but not now. Oh well. Hopefully they make it nicer or something. I guess at least not screw it up.

XBOX LIVE is still down, it should have been back up 40 minutes ago.

Just picked up PURE yesterday so Ill keep working on that.

I'll probably be palying DBZ burst limit... a game that has indeed caused me to throw my controller (damn drama scenes) (and I finally understand everyones gripes about the d-pad)

I'll knock out BioShock again and hit the Orange Box up again. Maybe a spot of Civ Rev....

Finishing up Ninja Gaiden 2 on mentor. Best action game of 2008.

Well with the call of the haloz being silenced for 24 hours perhaps I'll be able to get the kitchen clean...or I'll play Grid so I can get it sent back to GameFly...

well, I did just grab the new brothers in arms...that and a little burnout will round out my halo-less day.

I tried that out too. I was super hyped for it, but it ended up being kinda dissapointing...

That's after I get back from GameStop and getting Gears of War. You know you have to have the first of a game if you are getting the sequel.

I will be playing King Kong and Bionicle. Just trying to boost my gamerscore. Once I finish those, hopefully by tomorrow, I'll have to then get TMNT. I already got the easiest achievements with Avatar yesterday. So I should be set for the next 24 hours. Plus, I'm spending 10 of those hours at work, so it won't be too bad. :)

yes....I played last night after XBL went down and still was receiving achievements!
