I am all for an MMO on the PSP if it is done right.

Games like Monster Hunter would be perfect for it.

I would love to see what SOE could make for the PSP. Some of there past games they made for the PSP were pretty cool.

Also on a side note I would think the PS3 would be the little sibling. Seeing as it came out later. So seeing as the PSP came out before the PS3 the PSP would be the older brother.

I should also add I would love to see SOE and MM work together to bring Craft World to the PSP. It may not be as good as LBP but that game sounded like it would be cool too. Plus Craft World would be easier to work on the PSP over LBP. Plus if you could hook up LBP and Craft World together that would be cool.

For people who do not know what Craft World is it was the 2D proto type game before Little Big Planet was made. So many things would be the same as LBP just in 2D form but it would not have as much physics though. But I think that would still be cool.

This sounds interesting, but am I understanding it correctly? He's suggesting that I can play some kind of mini-game, offline, on my PSP, then later have it affect my PS3 online game? (of course the PSP would either have to get online later or link with the PS3.)

If this is what he meant, that would be great, because I'd love to have the option to advance in a game with my PSP during the occasional break I have between clients at work, then later get home and resume play on the PS3.

Most of the places I use my PSP don't have wi-fi, so I have to play offline, like at work, while waiting for my car to be serviced, etc. An MMO on the PSP would be cool, but if I'm going to play one, it would be at home with my PS3. I really like this linked PSP to PS3 game advancement idea, though!

thats Sony's problem now. they are always "looking into it" and not doing it. The PSP has been out how long now and they are still just looking into it. Come on Sony 1 good game on the psp a year just doesnt cut it.

That's right. It's far too late in the 'game' to be 'looking into' major genres that should've been explored from the very start. SOE made a single player 2D Everquest for the POCKET PC, you're telling me they couldn't do a variation of that with infrastructure?

They just don't care. Even their rhetoric is tinged with apathy, anymore.

PSP in the USA has been totally orphaned. Nintendo's DS just isn't for me with its 20-second attention span games, piles of cutesy crapware and teeny display(s). Most iPhone games are a pain to play... I'm ready for a Microsoft game handheld.

One? PSP has been slow, but we've had more than one top tier game...

Sign me up! Sony, if you are listening, there are lots of people, like myself, who don't have a huge amount of time to sit in front of their home console/computer and play an MMO. On the flipside, I play my PSP for at least one hour everyday at lunch, and just about anywhere else I can squeeze in 15-30 mins of gaming. With the expansion of WiFi to near universal coverage in a major city, I would be down for a PSP MMO. Wannabe handheld MMO'ers are out there Sony, please don't lose this one to the DS or iPhone.

Why people get excited when Sony says their usual BS is beond me. They aren't going to do anything - they never do anything but talk big. But when it comes to delivering, they never really do.

I think it would be cool to be able to have friends join in on something as EPIC as a portable Final Fantasy game or something like that!! How about a Baldur's Gate style game for PSP with Ad Hoc support?

Why should anyone believe Sony? Sony has consistently failed to make the PSP live up to its promise.

I agree, I never heard of the keyboard or gps they were talking about, or any update. Plus they said they would get more 3rd party supporters for the psp back in june yet i see nothing.
