Today, the Capcom Blog decided to reveal the box art and a prototype figurine for Bionic Commando. The thing about the figurine, though, is that the company has no idea when, where, how or if the general consumer will be able to get one.
OK, we have no idea what the point of showing off the six-inch tall prototype is other than to gauge consumer interest. So, fine, we'll bite. It's kinda sexy. What say y'all? Would you pay $20 more if it came in one of those "limited edition" packages these companies are so fond of?

Indeed, if they'd make a version based on the 'alternate outfit' version, I'd probably track one down.

I guess five minutes on Google is a lot of time to do research.
NECA is making it, it's going to be $15, and it's coming out in November. It's not a limited edition-- the same company makes toys for Castlevania, Assassin's Creed, and a kajillion other non-game properties.

Hey, thanks for not clicking on the link. I appreciate that. Go ahead and just google "bionic commando figure neca" and you'll find dozens of people selling it. I just posted the link to keep things easy but I can see that this sort of trying to help people is frowned upon here when the reporters didn't bother to do their research.

I would only buy it if it was a Rad Spencer figure.

Jesus Christ this guy looks stupid. Dare I say, "douchebaggian", as other commenters have. He looks like he went through my GI Joes' closets and picked out the worst outfits he could possibly find.
Also, I'm going to channel Seinfeld and ask the obvious, why the hell are his suspenders down?? He's swinging between buildings, I imagine you're going to want your pants as safely fastened as you could get them. I sure as hell wouldn't go hunting for my pants if they fell into some post apocalyptic rubble and I were hundreds of feet off the ground.

It looks like if his suspenders were up, it would interfere with his bionic arm. It might get caught in a gear or something. That's why he has those knee pads and tucks his pants into his boots. Those pants aren't coming off any time soon.

"Capcom shows off Bionic Commando prototype figurine"
General public is not impressed.
I would play Frisbee with him though.

you know, because a lot of people say "douche chills"?
Anyone laugh?
