Though it's fun unleashing the Force, wouldn't it be better if you could unleash the Force while pretending you're a good Jedi that has completely lost his mind? The people at LucasArts seem to think so: They'll be releasing new costumes for
The Force Unleashed's single-player campaign this fall, including Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Kit Fisto. We've put an "in-game" picture of Fisto after the break, but he looks more like he's been pasted in from the cover of a
Star Wars novel.
And later this year, look for a new mission in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, where the Apprentice will "learn more about his father, and while searching through the rubble of the destroyed building he must confront his inner demons."
Neither the price nor specific dates for either of the DLC packs has yet been unlea-- err, revealed. We'll keep you posted.

Fisto? Nice.
Mischa @ Sep 30th 2008 4:23PM
That was my name in the army.
Rollins @ Sep 30th 2008 11:33AM
Well, considering that Starkiller is supposed to represent what could have happened to Luke if everything went to hell, I suppose this makes sense.
theturtle363 @ Sep 30th 2008 11:34AM
bad move not including Maul in that list, he's even in the game already
Dirty @ Sep 30th 2008 12:26PM
I totally didn't read your comment, but I was thinking the same thing.
BIGJoepa @ Sep 30th 2008 3:48PM
I'd like to see Maul playable too, but it's the same deal as with Vader. Putting in Maul would require a new move set. The boss battle version that is in the game does not have an extensive move set, not enough to make him fun to play as is.
With the skins they are adding, the existing move set works. While I would like to see some of those play a little differently (Obi-Wan's Soresu mastery, Fisto's array of force abilities and Shii-Cho mastery), I understand that it would be a great undertaking to create an entirely new move set for the game.
Especially when they fired most of their staff.
I'd rather have no Maul at all than a Maul that didn't feel right gameplay wise.
j.howlett @ Sep 30th 2008 11:34AM
i want mace windu
StrangeBum @ Sep 30th 2008 11:41AM
Not sure which versions it works on, I know at least on the Wii, but the cheat-code "JEDIMASTER" unlock the Mace Windu character costume
/for your health
Morisato @ Sep 30th 2008 11:42AM
Why? Do you find him sexy? Or are you only attracted to his purple light saber?
B @ Sep 30th 2008 11:53AM
That's Wii only, shame too.
j.howlett @ Sep 30th 2008 12:59PM
cause he's a bad motherfucker
Master Bruce @ Sep 30th 2008 1:19PM
shut yo mouth!
Just talkin about Mace...
Blank-Mage @ Oct 2nd 2008 12:21AM
Can you dig it?
NaeemTHM @ Sep 30th 2008 11:36AM
Any word on if they'll fix all the "game breaking" bugs I keep hearing about? In many reviews, I read that there are parts that are so overly frustrating, it's a wonder how it made it into the final game.
That's really the only thing holding me back from buying this game.
BeeDizz @ Sep 30th 2008 11:53AM
I've been through the campaign 4 times now, including Sith Master. I'm not sure what "game breaking" bugs you're talking about. Frustrating locking system, but no bugs that i've seen.
Dirty @ Sep 30th 2008 11:49AM
Worked fine for me. Occasional fall through the floor, just had to start at the last checkpoint, no big deal.
The damn star destroyer part did seem a little broken.
All in all a damn fun game though.
Vegnagun bwf @ Sep 30th 2008 11:36AM
Fisto is actually my favorite Jedi.
Dirty @ Sep 30th 2008 11:51AM
Just wish he didn't go out like a bitch.
F1 @ Sep 30th 2008 2:09PM
I choose to think that wasn't Fisto but his pussy of a twin brother. The real Fisto died when he took on a whole army of Clone troopers while getting laid:)
CesarSalad @ Oct 1st 2008 1:15AM
@ F1:
You are fucking hilarious. your comment made my day :)
Snowblind @ Sep 30th 2008 11:39AM
Kit Fisto = win.
I played through a friends copy of the game, but I'm tempted to get my own for that alone.. Being able to play as Shaak Ti, and some of the others already in the game would be great as well.
And surprise, surprise, the PS2/Wii exclusive missions are being added in.
yikes @ Sep 30th 2008 11:41AM
why is there a dong scrawled in the upper left-hand corner of the Fisto screen?
Haggard (steam: haggard_dawn, PSN: HaggyWaggy) @ Sep 30th 2008 11:43AM
lol, I see it now too!
StrangeBum @ Sep 30th 2008 11:44AM
It's the map/radar, but just to beat Shaggi to the punch
/fap-fap-fap
Morisato @ Sep 30th 2008 11:49AM
It's to compensate for the massive bulge they gave Luke's model.
Comet @ Sep 30th 2008 2:44PM
Damn your right. Did Mark Hamill Request that or something?
Dirty @ Sep 30th 2008 11:49AM
I want to play as Darth Maul, his skin is already in the game damn it.
B @ Sep 30th 2008 11:56AM
Completely agreed. Darth Maul is/was a complete badass.
Ghen @ Sep 30th 2008 11:55AM
Horse armor.
B @ Sep 30th 2008 11:57AM
You completely overlook the new level?
Ghen @ Sep 30th 2008 1:23PM
Nope, just saying I don't like re-skins for $$. I think that sort of content should be free like it used to be before MS forbade it.
DangerMouse @ Sep 30th 2008 2:04PM
Yeah, it's a fucking re-skin. People have been doing this shit since 1996. Had they completely redone the model and with different motions, then okay, it's all good. But it's the same movement, same stance, same saber motions as before. It's worthless.
Cole Mullenbach @ Sep 30th 2008 12:13PM
Nice... I was expecting Vader to be Unlocked after beating the game... he is already playable on 1 level why not make it all of them
Ethan @ Sep 30th 2008 12:15PM
My, that hand looks surprisingly realistic.
343 Guilty Fart @ Sep 30th 2008 12:18PM
Ki-Adi-Mundi? Is he the guy that looks like a walking penis?
RobLink (Alex Kidd incarnate) @ Sep 30th 2008 2:16PM
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/thumb/9/9e/KiAdiMundi.jpg/250px-KiAdiMundi.jpg
You could say that. I'd prefer Plo Koon myself, but Luke & Kitt Fisto is a pretty good addition.
SDot @ Sep 30th 2008 12:33PM
So Luke has the same stance and red lightsaber blade as Starkiller? Nice
yikes @ Sep 30th 2008 1:00PM
you can earn new saber colors and pick your favorite, I guess they just start you with red like the normal story mode.
Iridium @ Sep 30th 2008 12:34PM
So does it just change the skin? I mean if you look at Luke he is using a backhand red saber just like Starkiller.
Continiuity errors aside it doesn't change the game at all so its really worthless.
Shmil (Mr ESC Liberation Front) @ Sep 30th 2008 12:51PM
man i hope this game leads to the Force Unleashed Jedi Academy
same exact game engine with all few more force powers plus create-a-character mode and online play.
Shmil (Mr ESC Liberation Front) @ Sep 30th 2008 12:53PM
oh and all of the different forms of lightsaber combat, double ended, dual sabers, single, single behind your back, those saber-chucks from that sith in the clone wars series, and the dual kodachi sabers
mutd1999 @ Sep 30th 2008 1:52PM
Jedi Academy was the worst game in the Jedi Knight series...it was absolutely horrible. They completely destroyed lightsaber combat by adding all of those stupid unblockable moves. They took the game away from Kyle Katarn, and made the story even worse than Attack of the Clones' story line. They even wimped out and gave you, literally, the same game engine with all the bugs and only updated it by adding a couple of rendering and shading options.
JKO>DFII>DFI>JKA.
Sorry for the rant, I know what you're saying, but they'd need to do a hell of a lot of changes away from JKA to get me to buy it. :P
DangerMouse @ Sep 30th 2008 2:13PM
The story was given up on with Jedi Outcast already. It was no surprise that Jedi Academy would suck even more ass. Gameplay wise, Jedi Outcast reigns supreme, Raven did a hell of a job with the gameplay (even though the level design was at the mercy of the quake 3 engine) but Jedi Knight's live action story was so much more enjoyable. Plus the antagonists were much more entertaining in JK, unlike the Dinosaur Sith Lord from JO. I would love to see another sequel, but i hope they don't skimp on the story line.
carolinakyl @ Sep 30th 2008 1:01PM
I'm pretty sure there's already a level in the Jedi Temple in the PS2 version... I'm betting this "new level" is just remaking what is already in other versions of the game.
CJLopez @ Sep 30th 2008 1:47PM
Yep, that same level is on the Wii Version already.
Next thing we'll learn is that duel mode is comming to the PS360 version with online
TiaMaster @ Sep 30th 2008 2:03PM
How about making the game not ridiculously frustrating and unbalanced (in those places where people who own the game know what I'm talking about)?
Ignatius @ Sep 30th 2008 2:57PM
Or perhaps with less boss bugs.
I've had the second boss glitch up on me to a point of where I had to use Force Grip and push him out of a corner with an object.
Darth Vader glitched and stood still... would not take any damage, did not make any movements. I had to eventually just sit there and die on one of the platforms.
MatthewRex @ Sep 30th 2008 2:33PM
I say bring all the DLC you want to this game. Duel Mode especially. I bought the 360, Wii, PSP and iPhone versions, and I've been enjoying them all. Duel mode on 360 would be friggin' amazing.
Quick question- does using cheat codes for costumes in the 360 version create a "choose a costume" selection screen when you start a campaign, or do you need to enter the code each time you start playing, for whatever character you want to play as?
nat @ Sep 30th 2008 3:08PM
I found this game so BORING, glad i only rented it
dru @ Sep 30th 2008 4:46PM
Kit Fisto has meat dreadlocks.
