Wow, despite not being able to understand anything that was being said that looked AWESOME! Also is it just me or does it sound like Luke and the Professor have much cooler voices in the Japanese release?

I knew I shouldn't have watched this !

What's amazing, is that this is a DS game but the animation and music are even much better than most animes out there. The quality and attention to detail reminds me of studio ghibli's work.

I want Layton 2. Now. Of course, I can wait a bit. Looks like I'm going broke in November.

Maybe they don't want to localize Layton 2 because first part sold poorly outside of Japan. It's just my guess, but I think that people in Japan like different kind of games. For rest of the world it looks like that imao: younger players who like anime style and story of Layton are not interested in solving puzzles which remind them too much their homework and players who are 30 and older that like playing Brain Training kind of games don't like animeish part. I don't like Layton, because I'm not into logical games, but animeish cut-scenes are awesome, so I hope that my guessing is wrong for all of Layton's fans.

I love Layton, and I guess it's people like me that are the main target. I love the retro-french-cartoony-style and story that I find so childishly wonderful, but at the same time the puzzles are prone to whip your butt anytime which shows that this is clearly no children game. And if I remember correctly, the first Layton game was at the top of the DS-charts quite a few weeks after it's release in North America, so I don't think that's the issue.

I'm going to be angry if Nintendo doesn't localize Layton 2, especially after stating explicitly in the manual that Layton 2 will contain a code for Layton 1. Come on Nintendo, bring us Layton 2!! T__________T
