I don't think piracy is as much a concern on the DS as much as on the PSP, I don't think software sales have been as affected on the DS no?

Well, DS piracy is very easy and quite rampant. But when you have many tens of millions of systems on the market, can get the same people to buy multiple iterations of the same system (I'm guilty of this too), and sell overpriced software... well, they still make a fortune.

On topic: Interesting news. I've been waiting for the DS to drop in price before getting one, because it's just not a great value for me personally. The new one has potential though, so I may just have to bite the bullet after all.

1. Piracy can't be stopped.
2. People would just buy old DSs.

Nope. Haven't you heard? The world has gone insane.

People want to lose money, the night is now in the middle of the afternoon and people make comment based on a article that obviously was a simple mistake.

It would be amusing (in a totally hypothetical way, disregarding the tragedies of reality) if the American stock market had a more severe crash, Microsoft and Sony went belly-up, and Nintendo got to save them.

Nah, Nintendo BS will lead to hyperinflation, just like it did 1920's Germany... don't believe me? Take a good look at those screens, people! Clearly, one of them has a built-in flux capacitor... I'm afraid this device is far more dangerous than any any of us could have guessed, especially in the wrong hands...

Nintendo buying out Microsoft AND Sony? If they got Apple, it'd be a pretty sweet monopoly, and there'd probably be, like, HOTELS and shit on there. And you'd be like "I'll give you free passage on the railroads!" But Nintendo would be all like "Bitch, pay me!" and smack you with the Master Sword.

This comment got out of hand quickly. I apologize. Let's try again. If they successfully bought out Microsoft, wouldn't that leave them in charge of ALL PC operating system production and upkeep? Can you even BEGIN to imagine Windows by Nintendo? I'm starting to, and it hurts, but a good hurt. Feel the burn, ya know.

Wait, do you remember the last time it was suggested that we stay up till midnight... didn't someone get fired?*

Hmm, it was over a BIG Nintendo announcement too...

*If he did get fired he totally didn't deserve it, internet people are crazy, remember that.

In this case it would be staying up for an actual press conference. Summa was very vague about specifying what kind of announcement we were waiting for

Either way, i'll just hit it up tomorrow morning, then wade through the inevitable shitstorm during my International Politics class
