I think you're right... seriously. Nintendo products are nigh impossible to break. I've have several friends who have dropped their Wii and DS from various heights and velocities yet they still keep on. Me- I'm responsible. |:V

I don't see them coming out with a new version with just adding a camera and mp3 capability. There's got to be something more or at least a Nintendo-y twist.. or it's just a rumor.

What i would kill to have on this new version of the system:
have the Built in Picto-Chat wifi enabled with the ability to have friends listings.... Voip would be great too but not needed.
Single system friend code, both for pictochat and for all new game titles.... sick of having 100 codes.

Personally, I'm hedging my bets on this thing not being a DS at all, but a more powerful PSP-like system sporting a single, large touch screen (like 800x480) with PDA/PMP functionality... maybe carrying the "Gameboy" moniker.
This doesn't mean, however, that the system can't be backward compatible with the DS though. Many games could be supported just fine using display swapping, picture in picture or a split screen layout.
This new system may also sport it's own versions of the WiiShop channel, containing WiiWare and Virtual Console (both portable and console titles) in a manner similar to App Store on the iPhone.
