HOME will be out before Alan Wake, wrap your head around that one!

I think we have known about Alan Wake for at least two more years than home. Was one of the few reasons I bought my original 360.

There kind of isn't a big deal over it, really. It's a case of being hyped for the sake of being hyped...kinda like Nintendo's Disaster game, sort of (except now D:DoC is actually coming out).

Basically they showed a few interesting trailers for it eons ago and that's about it. They were all entirely cinematic and gave no hint as to what the game would play like, if I'm not mistaken.

Due to Remedy's excellent Max Payne games I'd guess it'd be at least good, 'great' will have to be seen.

What I *think* I remember is that the game takes place in the Pacific Northwest, maybe in the Columbia River gorge east of Portland. There's some sort of mystery to solve (vague I know). I think they were even taking the actual GPS info about the area, such as terrain, elevation, etc. so it would be like you were playing the game in a place that actually exists. So basically think Steven King novel in the Pacific Northwest.

Aw, you beat me to it. Funny story, though. A friend of mine was having lunch with a friend of his who is Finnish. At some point during the meal, the waitress came up and asked her if she was finished, as in, with her food. She responded, "Why yes, I'm Finnish," and the waitress promptly took away her plate. She was not finished eating, sadly.

Randy's waiting for a female friend to get off his computer before he makes a poll - after all, he wouldn't want to Russia.

The demo with the Intel quad-core in 2006 was so awesome. I wonder how far they've come since then.

It's also a PC title. Heck most (if not all) of what is shown was running on a PC. It's really annoying that some on the joystiq staff only see and breath console.

Makes sense: Each of the big 3 had a very promising looking vapor title at E3: Nintendo/Monolith's Disaster is already out (in Japan), we've seen solid gameplay vids of Sony/Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain, so it's high time Microsoft/Remedy's Alan Wake showed up to the party

Seems it would be wiser to let the whole world see that the game still exists. Why not show some love to the interweb?

Alan Wake is a myth like women who strip to go to school.

And would that mean that Max Payne 3 is 360 exclusive?

I know a few women that wait and strip at the local Gold Club who also happen to be students. They say it is to help pay for school but that's just their excuss to do something as empowering as taking off a peice of clothing and making a thousand bucks without ever having to actually do anything. Plus one of them has a real drug problem they have to feed.

What there aren't any of is strippers who are actually honest sweet naive girls.
