American PSN Store update for October 2nd

No full PS3 games today, but a large number of demos. Bioshock and Eternal Sonata may be two Xbox 360 ports, but they're also the two demos we would suggest grabbing first. After that, make your way quickly and quietly towards the PixelJunk Eden soundtrack, which is a steal at $3, and onwards to the Rock Band DLC. As usual there are also plenty of videos and add-ons to choose from. Here's the full release list:

yea, its free on 360 but not on ps3. If you read the fine print its for ppl who buy it used, even tho the game isnt out yet. Which is screwing us cuz i mean honestly Blu Ray holds more so PUT IT ON THE DAMN DISC.

Anthony, why not go with NBA 2K9? Far superior to Live in my opinion.

I understand wat ur sayin man, but NBA live looked good but since their pullin this stuff with the ps3 version my money is going to The Inside for the trophies and the street ball aspect.

The 2k series has always had a street mode... which is the only mode I would play online. Maybe i'm just a 2K fanboy though :O. But I respect your opinion, NBA The Inside does look good this year, trophies are indeed a plus!

Nba live 365 is only for people who bought a used copy of the game. If you buy it new it comes with a code, please go to the psn and read before posting, or should i say before bitching.

So are these Soul Calibur weapon packs paid unlocks, or new items? Because if it's the former, I'm officially done with buying any add-ons for that game. I didn't have a problem with the $2 costume packs (even if they were awfully small), but am not interested in paying money for "cheat code" style unlocks.

u know the game updates every now and then? thats when the content gets added after that u can opt to buy it to unlock it so its kinda like that but kinda not namco just downloading it straight to u just locked so its easier to get out there i guess or maybe so u can fight with ppl who have the addons online... im not sure but im pretty sure the downloads are added with each update

played bioshock earlier, it is the same as the 360 demo, which was to be expected, graphics have improved though

The Bioshock PS3 demo doesn't have that "unlock framerate" option. Maybe it will be in the final game. I beat the 360 version over the summer, so I can't really tell if the visuals have improved or not.

The visuals are much better except for some aliasing problems during the bathysphere scenes. Also the framerate visibly dips once in awhile.

The water looks incredible compared to even the PC version, and it's kinda important since there's water everywhere in this game.

After playing the demo I said "moar plz". I'm gonna have to pick this one up, even if it is sloppy seconds.

Nonetheless another great update.

FrodoTBaggins las week was great if you like wipeout and burnout but there where no demos.

Frodo, I've been waiting for the 2k9 and bioshock demos. Also, any new LBP/Socom vids = win. I didn't care much for the previous updates.

Wipeout? Burnout??? I was talking about the FREE downloadable buzz theme that rocked the PSN world last week....when did wipeout HD hit the store??? I'll pass.

I wouldn't have anytime to play it anyway. I'm still playing the Megaman DEMO, The NBA 09 DEMO and the NBA Live DEMO that came out last week.

I didn't say this weeks wasn't good I'm just saying for the most part last weeks was better...probably the best so far.

NBA365 description is wierd, it reads that if you buy the game you have a code to use for 365, but you can still buy it? i don't get it..

I think what's happening here is, let say you have the code, you lost the code or for whatever reason your 5 downloads are up. You have to pay another 20 for features that should have been there and free to begin with. EA you suck.

Someone said earlier they think it's for people that buy the game used.

yeah.. that's what i thought... if u buy it used or rent the game via Blockbuster or GameFly... you can buy the updates? But are there roster updates as well?

Or if someone doesn't have a code do they only have access to the release roster?

I am really excited about the Bioshock demo. I played a little of it on the 360 (the demo) but have been waiting for the PS3 version to play through it...
But unfortunately it isn't running as well as I had hoped, so I'm a bit dissapointed. On my 720p monitor I had a white border along the bottom and right side during the opening, and while surfacing and swimming to the island the framerate and water effects just don't hold up to the PC/360 version.
I continue to have an annoying "border" on the right side of the screen that looks like a graphics glitch, which even gets smeared out toward the middle of the screen with blur effects and stuff.
While I continued to play it, I notice that the framerate is just bad overall.
I love my PS3 and was hoping for a definitive version of this awesome game, but from what I see so far, looks like it might be a little better on other formats. Guess that's what happens when you port.
Anyone else notice any of this?

You described what also experienced perfectly. Frame rates are all over the place, the text through out the game, help screens, loading screens etc is really jagged. Overall the game has a very blurry look to it compared to the pc version. I actually increased my tv sharpness to 100 hoping to make things more crisp, but nada.

graphics are sweet looking and running at 1080 maybe its caused by the downscale to 720
was surprised it was 1080
didn't have any graphic glitches
played the pc version on a higher end pc at the time of release and the ps3 has way better graphics

The PS3 version has better graphics than the PC version?! Have you lost your f'ing mind? I just got done playing the PS3 demo and it is in no way better. I own the PC version and an Alienware PC to play it on (SLI and the works), and the PC version at 1680X1050 with all the bells and whistles on trumps the PS3 version in every conceivable way. I was surprised at how bad the PS3 version looks, actually.

Man, I love my PS3, but you truly must be a hardcore fanboy! Your "higher end pc" must be a HP with a Ti4600 card. XD

cant wait for the olympics to start? were u under a rock through august? the olympics were in august 2008 lol, next olympics will be 2012. or 2009 if you count "minor olympics" but the big olympics are held every 4 years
