"They can't support SDHC if they didn't include SDHC hardware from the beginning; it's not just a firmware change."

Are you sure about that? Many digital cameras got firmware updates allowing them to use SDHC cards.

why oh why does wii (or apparently the 'DSi') not support SDHC? with 16gb cards available for $40ish, and 32gb cards coming, you'd have almost as much storage space, or more than xbox'x 20gb drive. i mean, i just don't understand it. it's not like nintendo makes much money of the sales of SD cards. sigh.. guess i'll look into buying some regular SD cards in bulk heh

I would like to see Wii game cases including SD card holders now, that way you could easily store an SD card or two for each game and keep them organized.

(at least for games with DLC)

that is a shitty storage "solution". is SDHC that hard to program into the firmware? And as far as piracy being an issue... the only difference would be that ISO's would be ripped onto SD cards rather than being burned onto disc. It just makes it marginally easier for them to play illegal copies of games! I don't see the big friggin' deal here...

They need to do what Sony has done with the Playstation Network and tie the games to the user account so you can download a purchased title to multiple consoles.

This is probably the biggest thing that bugs me as I have 2 Wiis and cannot move my VC titles between them.
