Rumor: Mötley Crüe's Dr. Feelgood becomes Rock Band DLC Oct. 14
According to a post on Imeem.com, Mötley Crüe's 1989 album Dr. Feelgood will be available as Rock Band DLC starting Oct. 14. We've contacted Harmonix to confirm the information. There is currently no price for the album listed and we really don't have a baseline for album cost to speculate, but standard pricing has been $2 for individual tracks.
Even if Mötley Crüe is the source of the information, that doesn't necessarily mean that date will come to pass. We'll update as soon as we get more details.

Damn that was a pretty sweet album for a hair band. Hopefully it's kinda cheap cause I just blew a good percentage of my points on Jade Empire.

More Dream Theater, Megadeth, Slayer, Machine Head, less glam rock/metal. I know they try to make the catalog more broad but really, more crue?
Crue has always been one of the bands I'd rather listen to then play.
Kizzle @ Oct 2nd 2008 6:32PM
Uh, no, we don't need more Megadeth, we just got a full album, and another track a few weeks before that.
I'll take Rust in Peace in a few months, though...
VaultICEE @ Oct 2nd 2008 6:55PM
I'm tired of metal for a good while. I love metal, I really do, but I like playing songs that don't take a great amount of effort and are just for fun.
But I'll make an exception for Motley Crue.
DBoyFlex @ Oct 2nd 2008 8:08PM
I'll take dream theater and joe satriani please.
Tiptup300 @ Oct 2nd 2008 9:12PM

Scoop!
Kizzle @ Oct 2nd 2008 6:32PM
Pretty cool...not my number one request, but I'll grab a few tracks.

Aww! Yeah! Baaaabyyyyy!
ill trooper @ Oct 2nd 2008 6:37PM
I hope this happens. I think the Crüe may need to do a 'greatest hits' package like the Who one was, that might be better than just taking one album.
Youthinized @ Oct 2nd 2008 6:52PM
*heavy sigh*
and I was praying and hoping for "Too Fast for Love" as one of Crue's albums to hit RB DLC.
TFfL is waaay better then Dr. Feelgood.
RavenPaul @ Oct 3rd 2008 2:55PM
No way, only song I like from TFFL is Live Wire. I'd have preferred a greatest hits DLC, but I'll grab a few from this one.
Buckshot @ Oct 3rd 2008 10:38AM
Yeah too fast is the best by far, I did spend some good times with theater, but I can't take hearing home sweet home again.
todd @ Oct 2nd 2008 6:59PM
Why not Shout, only good album they've had.
Pierre @ Oct 2nd 2008 7:59PM
Where are the YouTube videos at? :( I'm lazy and don't want to have to go punch in all the songs over there.
FSK405K @ Oct 3rd 2008 1:22AM
They aren't going to do all the work of finding the youtube videos, THAT WORK, for a rumored release.

NEVERMIND Motley Crue and get us the very early promised Nirvana!
I'll actually buy a full album of that, rather than the 2-4 songs on the albums so far released. If you can't do that, get me an album of Muse or Rodrigo y Gabriella (screw drummers and vocalists)
tr1cky tpr @ Oct 3rd 2008 5:12AM
For the last fucking time...
HARMONIX NEVER PROMISED NIRVANA.
IT WAS A RUMOUR THAT WENT OUT OF CONTROL.
DO YOUR RESEARCH.

DOH! GD Harmonix!
Jeff @ Oct 3rd 2008 2:37AM
Ah, good, more DLC I won't need to shell out cash for. I wouldn't download this crap if it were free. I wouldn't even download it if each track was free AND came with 100 MS points.
More Mastodon, more Queens of the Stone Age, and some Descendents are pretty high on my wish list. Maybe some Lemonheads or Veruca Salt, too.

Thank you Mr Music elitist. You and your eclectic tastes have schooled all of use heathens who may be interested in this.
Thank you for posting in this thread about something you are uninterested in to tell us all what heathens we are.
Farseer (GDI) @ Oct 3rd 2008 9:35AM
Just because you don't like the way he said it, it doesn't change the fact that Motley Crue sucks.

Here's a question that's off topic, but closely related enough to the topic that I don't feel stupid for asking it here. It REALLY belongs in the 'guitar compatability matrix' section, but.. nobody reads that anymore.
Short Version: Can GHI, GHII, GH80's be played on the PS3, and if so, what are my controller choices? (Specifically, can I use the guitar from GHIII?)
Longer, clearer, more entertaining version:
I own a PS3 (This isn't a religious statement. I just own one. I'm not asking anyone to get a tattoo of the Sony logo...)
On this PS3, I've discovered the joy of playing both Rock Band, AND Guitar Hero III. Hooray me. I win. Now I can pretend to rock. I love the game(s), and can't get enough. (I even own the Locksley DLC, or whatever the heck that mediocre Disney band is called.)
I love the game, and will be sucking at the teat for a time to come.
Following so far? Cause here's where it gets confusing. For ME.
I want to go back and play Guitar Hero I, GHII, and believe it or not, Guitar Hero Rocks the 80's.
Simple, right? Well... not so fast, folks. None of the instrument compatability matrices have any info on the old games.
Can I just purchase them and play them on my PS3 with my GHIII controller? (I don't expect the Rock Band one to work, but would the Starpex one work?)
I know that PS2 games can be played on a PS3, but, I would like to know if the controller will work before I pony up the dough. The old versions are nearly free they're becomming so cheap, but, I don't want to buy them if I have to also buy one of those crappy PS2 guitars (I have enough already)and/OR have to drag out my old PS2 just to play the games.
So there... long story short: Help me! I want something to help kill the time before the PS3 version of RB2 as well as waiting for GHWT.
Thanks for reading. None of this will be on the test.
eugaet @ Oct 3rd 2008 1:05PM
Ho. Lee. Crap!
If the rumors of Wii DLC for RB2 are true...this puts it over the top. Definite day one purchase.
And I really only wanted to go with one this round. But looks like I may be getting both RB2 and GH:WT for Wii. Dammit.
