Rock Band Weekly: The Offspring, six other bands

The tidal wave of Rock Band DLC doesn't stop as Harmonix tries to hit the 500 tracks available mark (RB, RB2, DLC) by year's end. Here's nine more songs being added next week for your DLC consideration:

I find out DLC from Joystiq since the EU rock band store doesn't have a 'new releases' section yet, and the rock-band-weekly tag is pretty useful for me to see what I've missed (having a years worth available to you all in one go makes it pretty hard to organise).

So I disagree with your anarchic anti-Rock Band news outlook.

Guy on the left looks like a cross between Ben Stiller and Seth Green.

I appreciate the varied bands instead of the full album DLC junk, but I'll pass on all of these. Still waiting for more Nirvana:Nevermind, Pearl Jam:Ten and RAMMSTEIN!

Fact of the matter is, The Offspring ARE as "hard" (if i really must use that term) as any other band out there, and they've earned the right to look a little badass when they're being photographed.

Listen to Agent Orange instead of Offspring; that's where their sound came from and there's no stupid missteps like 'Pretty Fly for a White Guy.'

Could you guys not get the original videos for the Offspring's tracks, rather than poor-quality shakycam gig footage? Keep up the updates though, really useful thing you got going here :)

I wish I had Rock Band now -- like I didn't already. That song's from HD's most recent album, Little By Little, and the whole disc is REALLY, REALLY good -- way more mellow than Flagpole Sitta, for the most part, very chill ("Cream and Bastards" is one of the only heavy songs on the album). I like STATIC-X and all, but I kinda wish they had their own song pack... with "Dirthouse", "Wisconsin Death Trip", or possibly even "Fix".

Yeah. I have a feeling some testers leaked that 20 song list, not realizing it was actually just DLC. So yeah, the list was accurate, but the intent of that list obviously wasn't clear.

I agree that Against Me! is awesome. "Stop" is probably their worst song, but it's still awesome.

(I like to brag that my hometown is about an hour north of Gainesville, FL, and I listened to Against Me! when they were just some kids in a band that were pretty good, now they're on the TV.)

Fuckin' right, Against Me! New Wave is damn good, but nothing is going to top As The Eternal Cowboy. I saw them live 4 years ago in a small club playing songs like "Rice and Bread" and "Turn Those Clapping Hands Into Angry Balled Fists." So kickass.

Yeah those are the only two tracks that interest me, I Nearly Lost You is a fucking awesome song, and Against Me! is fucking awesome... if they managed to get Screaming Trees in maybe they'll work to get Paw or Tad next.

Wow. I'm super stoked for this upcoming week. Static X is awesome, and Gone Away/Self Esteem by Offspring is nice. Wish they'd put out The Kids Aren't Alright and I'd be happy.

Can't wait for the rest of the rumored 'free' DLC to hit the RB store. Pennywise will be a very nice addiction to my RB collection.

Wisconsin Death Trip was a killer album, and is what got me through my deployment to the middle east.

Awesome. Great Static-X, Against me and Screaming Trees songs. Good classic tune from Free also. Not too excited about George Thorogood. Never really cared about his music.
