They said it was impossible. They pointed and laughed, and called it names. But, just as Batman's license holders have every right to pit him in a crossover battle against an alien hunter will dreadlocks, they may also call upon the Dark Knight to beat a fire-burping, undead ninja within an inch of its tortured life -- just as long as he doesn't go that extra inch, ya know? (Off topic: So is Two-Face dead or what?) Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is very real folks, and here's the box art to prove it:

MK died after MK Trilogy for N64 for me. Those where the goods days of MK.

That was a pretty convoluted post.

I still don't understand!

Haven't been interested in Mortal Kombat as a fighting game since MK II. This just looks like more os the same meh-tastic gameplay since the franchise went downhill after the second iteration.

I am still on the fence with this game, for every cool thing they show, they show something cheesy.

Time will tell.

I actually like the cheez. The original games were full of cheezy goodness. The controls are too clunky for my taste, though. Tekken and Virtua Fighter killed MK for me.

I hope you do realize that's one of the reasons why the original MK games were so fun. Because they were incredibly cheesy.

There is good cheesy and bad cheesy...and I meant the bad kind.

Seeing as the Department of Homeland Security hasn't shut down Joystiq for promoting terrorism, no, it isn't.

That movie was awful! Worse yet was Shaq's attempt at a fighting game, Shaq Fu! At least that title was better than Shaq Attaq.

isnt the shaq movie Kazamm? But he would make an excellent addition to the game. At some point they gotta be like why not. Put some sort of portal and it could work.

If Batman has enough time to prep, he could beat Jesus.

he might be dead at the moment, wait until Joel Schumacher comes back and suddenly the Son of Tommy Lee Jones and Drew Barrymore pops out (played by Shia LaBeouf)!

Despite having direct conformation from the horse's mouth, I'm still skeptical that falling 10 feet and landing on a giant pile of dirt is fatal. Batman stood up immediately after taking the same fall. Granted he wears lightweight armor, but I wouldn't imagine that helping that much.

Shazam sucks. Black Adam sucks.

I disagree with the Black Adam part. When he killed Psycho-Pirate, it was pretty sweet.

Kill off the superheroes and lame ass weapons, focus on brutal melee, special moves, and gore filled finishers and you have a sale. Otherwise stop it Midway, you haven't released anything worthwhile in over a decade (short of Epic games).

Psi-Ops "secret" cooperative mode was pretty bad ass, one of the few times in my life I've enjoyed being frustrated with my friends complete lack of skill. Good times :)

But yeah... Midway sucks.

Is Psi-Ops 2 ever going to happen? They ended on a cliffhanger then abandoned the poor thing.

Well, I'll give them this much, they've made sure that this time I can at least recognize half the characters in an MK game.

Okay, okay, I know this is nerdgassing, but to be anal the big red cheese there is Captain Marvel, who has the power of Shazam.

Why do I have to pick a side with EVERYTHING? I can't agree with something McCain says and vote Obama, I can't own a 360 and enjoy playing my PS3, and now I can't like Marvel and DC at the same time?
