For those who are reading this on a computer that is unable to meet the minimum system requirements of Math Blaster, feel free to skip this post. We won't be offended. For those discerning PC gamers who are still with us, you may be interested in a recent offer from Electronic Arts -- next weekend, the standalone multiplayer expansion to Crytek's demanding shooter, titled Crysis Wars, will be free to download and play online. Starting 11 a.m. on Friday, and running until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, you'll be able to jump on to any of the game's online servers for some nano-suit infused multiplayer combat.
Of course, after you've registered on MyCrisis.com and downloaded the full version of Crysis Wars (right here), you can play the game immediately, albeit offline using a LAN connection. We're assuming you already have a cadre of PC gaming acquaintences with appropriately powerful rigs -- don't you, you sociable so-and-so, you.

Ooh nice, I was going to buy Warhead but ran out of money. This should let me see how well it runs and how fun the multiplayer is.
Kind of weird that this was the first thing I saw when booting up firefox considering that 2 minutes ago I just completed my second play of the original Crysis.

Crysis Wars is actually surprisingly great. It's a lot better than the multiplayer in the original Crysis.

Ehh, it needs a patch badly. Why is it every time the map changes, the ingame sound decides to use the menu music and the menu music only, leaving me blissfully unaware my buddy in the next room just got gunned down by 3 guys with SMGs that are coming for me while my back is turned.
Oh, and why does the ingame map suddenly shift into the upper left corner of the map, leaving me having no idea where to go and unable to pick half the respawn points on the map.
And how about that whole spawning upon the map finally loading, dying randomly, then laying on the ground staring at nothing for 5 minutes not letting me pick a team while the battle rages.

i own this game and have been playing it online regularly. Other than the menu music i can relate to none of what you said.
In my experience it loads nicely and plays great.

I wish I could...but unfortunately some retard thought it was a good idea to give 2007 PC an AGP Slot.I was thinking about x1950 but as far as I'm aware, this fucker requires a PSU based on Chernobyl NPP blueprints so I had to settle for 2600XT 512mb.Not the best choice by a long-shot by at least it gets the job done.

No, Crysis cannot run on a Mac unless you install Windows on it.

If you have a current gen MacBook Pro, iMac, or Mac Pro and have installed Windows Vista SP1 or XP SP3 via Boot Camp, you can more than likely run it well enough. You can always install your own PCIe cards on a Mac Pro for Windows use (they won't register under OS X, so don't replace) if your Apple supplied card doesn't quite cut it for you. Otherwise the other Mac models use integrated intel graphics, and won't be able to play most modern PC games at optimal settings.
Also, Mac isn't an acronym like "PC." jsyk.

See EA? I had no intention of getting Warhead but now you've given me something that gets me interested in your game. This model is much better than the one you used for Spore.
