Readers currently residing in the United Kingdom -- your wait is over. At long last, you'll be able to experience one of 2007's best selling, most critically acclaimed titles -- Rockstar's controversial thriller, Manhunt 2. After being turned down by the British Board of Film Classification for its "unremitting bleakness and callousness of tone," a reworked, SFEurope version of the game will be launched in the UK for the Wii, PS2 and PSP on October 31. We know, we can barely contain our excitement either.
Sure, it may lack a few of the more grisly elements included in the inappropriate North American version, but if your hands are shaking with anticipation as you read this report -- as we're sure they are -- we imagine you'll be able to overlook a few omitted acts of power drill-related violence.

Couldn't give a flying toss. I bought the original in that Steam weekend deal for $5, and boy - brown and grey games were around before Gears it seems.
Except unlike Gears, Manhunt was utter garbage and also featured some of the worst stealth gameplay I've ever seen.

I said it back in the days when this was in the news every other day, and i'll say it once again: There are better "bad" games to raise a stink about.
I know Rockstar likes the bad press to hype their games, but usually the games themselves are... better.

Unfortunately, all this waiting won't make the game any better...

I think Joystiq's memory is fading, since we are getting the second version that the Americans ALSO got. The AO uncut version was never released. The M rated version was the second version and censored. This is also the version we are getting at the end of the month... doh.

I imported this from the States as my PS3 is American. It is nowhere near as bad as the censors claim.
Oh, and I still haven't gone on a murder rampage.....yet!

*bad as in gory/violent/etc.
The game itself, though, is bad as in a steaming pile of crap.
