Gears 2: Now with high-speed Reaver chases

I agree with you. it should be a 4 player co-op.. then again it could be that they are saving it for the 3rd installment. kinda like Halo 3. I feel sorry for the PS3 fanboys. they get resistance 2 wich is by the way a copy of gears...

well we get 5 player co-op with horde killing mode.

it's not 8 player co-op like Resistance 2 will have, but i believe 2- player will keep the levels from looking big and less detailed like Halo 3 (yes they were huge and built for 4 players to roam around making it slightly less detailed than it could have been).

smaller tighter levels works well for a game like Gears.

and i have no comment on whether R2 is a copy of Gears 2. ;P

A copy of gears! are you high! I own both consoles i own gears and resistance and I do like gears more but your on crack if you think resistance is anything like gears. Name 3 things that can be called copies! And there is no need to feel sorry for the ps3 only fanboys because resistance is made by insomniac there lowest rated game was R&C Q4B it got a 7.5..... sheesh dont be an idiot

I just want to say Halo 3 and Gears of War shouldn't really be compared when it comes to number of cooperative players.

The beauty of Bungie (which I think they get NO CREDIT for) and Epic is they create their own game engines. To say Epics game engine is "better" than Bungies is the same as saying Jean Michel Basquiat's paintings are better than say, Vincent Van Gogh. Completely different artisitc styles. Bungies has stated they didn't have to sacrifice quality to allow 4 players cooperatively. Look at Halo 2, many parts of that game could've supported 4 players I'm sure without sacrificing any quality.

Epics overall reason for sticking with 2 players is the STORY TELLING aspect. Gears of War is more of a personal "cinematic experience" whereas Halo was an epic tale that could easily be shared by many.

An after playing Gears of War and any of the Halo games, I think both developers articulated well what they wanted to convey in conception.

Kudos to both development companies... they both kick major ass and are an absolute asset to Microsofts electronic and entertainment division alone.

As for detail, Gears takes place in desolate cities and Halo wide open plains. Even on Xbox though I would say Halo 2's romp through the devastated cities were quite detailed in comparison as well. Setting... it depends on the setting! ;)

really? 60fps could have looked pretty sweet with a smaller detailed campaign. but then again Halo 3 is vehicle heavy.

i guess i just tired of open corridor after open corridor and wished for greater attention to detail like Gears of War and Cod4.
