Actually I'm digging Punch-Out's visual look a lot more. It looks like it'll be a lot of fun.

Punch Out looks like a cleaned up version of Victorious Boxers - which is a good thing. Hopefully, Nintendo will learn from the mistakes Grand Prix made and build upon their strengths.

Punch Out looks like a cleaned up version of "Punch Out"! I mean the NES version. Is everyone here too young to remember that game? I'd really prefer that Nintendo come out with some updated boxing mechanics, instead of rehashing 20 year old concepts.

First, it doesn't look anything like Pun-Out!! for the NES. I think you may have forgotten, not us.( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzubXnSqJik&feature=related )
And new fighting mechanics?! This is Punch-Out!! you are talking about. You fight a guy named King Hippo and to beat him you must hit his stomach and his pants fall down. Punch-Out!! isn't a game for realistic fighting. And it's graphical style complement that ompletely.

Oh man, I can't wait for Sin & Punishment. The first one was freaking amazing, and that's WITH the gimped controls. This one should be unstoppably awesome!

Meh. MIGHT be a Gamefly on S&P. Probably pass on Punch-Out. I'm so sick of 480p visuals from the Wii. That crap looks ridiculous after playing a 360, PS3 or a PC.

I'm not sure why you got voted down. I feel the same! I own every console, and the new HD still pisses me off to this day.

I guess there are a lot of Joystiq users who like last gen capabilities? Its like Gamefaqs!

If Nintendo thinks rehashing old software poorly is going to bring me back on board, they clearly don't understand my purchasing habits. 18-35 year old males are moving on.

Maybe I just don't like comic boxing that much anymore. I did enjoy Fight Night quite a bit, though.

Maybe I prefer games to look nice on my display hardware.

Maybe I won't double post.

I find it interesting that you refer to me as a fanboy, yet you are the first to resort to ad hominem personal attacks like "idiot," "tool," and "retarded." What next, am a "gay" as well? All this because I dislike low resolution graphics...

As a Wii system holder, I don't think its unreasonable to not like ugly, jaggie, low resolution games. When the community accepts crap like this as exciting content for their consoles, they'll just get more of it.

I'd like to think Joystiq is a place where platform owners can vocally dislike the product they're receiving. I vote with my dollars and my comments/message board posts. Somehow, through your garbled English-as-a-second language posts, you insist upon that being "retarded."

Any word on perhaps the addition of custom characters or extra female characters in Punch Out? I appreciate the game and what it is but I hope there is a bit more variety.

"Mike Tyson will never know what hit him. You will hit him like a bulldozer. A Little Mac Bulldozer."

Wish list for new Punchout: Mike Tyson as final boss, Mario as referee, and trade Doc Louis for Mickey from Rocky.

Does Joystick have a new player?

It loads and plays very smoothly. Nice Job.

It's viddler (www.viddler.com) - you can brand it with your own watermark.

Off-topic: (but hopefully no one will mind since it's info about a chance to win a free Xbox 360) http://www.xonegallery.com/pixelsandpages - be sure to mention joystiq comments in the "how did you hear about the contest" section!

I'm guessing they didn't get Mike Tyson to sign off to use his likeness. Not going to be the same fighting some random at the end. Unless they just change his name a la Mike Vick in Madden as Ron Mexico.

I'm sure they'll just use Mr. Dream, the guy who replaced Mike Tyson as the final boss when they re-released Punch-Out!! on NES. IOW, there are two NES versions, one with Tyson's name on it and one without.
