Sega re-working MadWorld controls, game still looks awesome
It sure looked bloody fun (emphasis, of course, on the "bloody"). We watched those around us slowly back away as we giggled with child-like glee at the on-screen ultra-violence (hey, we'd had a very bad morning in traffic). Someone urged Sega's testers to show off the most over-the-top move they could think of, so we were treated to a gameplay sequence wherein an enemy was restrained with a tire, skewered through the head with a stopsign post, then cleaved in twain by the main character's chainsaw.
We also got a peek at the chainsaw in action while riding a motorcycle down the side of a building and along a highway at innapropriate speeds. A sequence which, again, made us even more steamed that we couldn't grab the controls and try it ourselves. Not mad enough to run anyone through with a signpost, mind you, but most definitely irked.

I guess they had a bad control scheme, then, and didn't want all the negative press
Hopefully doesn't delay it, though. January can't come soon enough (can't come soon enough either way, i get a month off from school)

Generic hip-hop aside, that looked really cool.
I hope it's heart is not ripped out for the PAL release, ala No More Heroes. I'll probably just import anyway, but still, it'd be nice.
Also, bring back the old Sega intro from the Mega Drive era - the grand Sega choir. It had more character.

This is the game I'm most excited for in 2009.
Anything from the creators of God Hand that's described as playing like God Hand (although admittedly less hardcore) is a Day 1 for me.

Don't screw this one up Sega, you have something going for ya.

Herr Frederick Von Twirlenkiller. Awesome.

I saw this one in action too. Game is retarded violent. My favorite death scene took place in the subway where the main character grabbed a dude, beat him senseless and then through him against a passing subway train and he spun against it until he was a fine, bloody mist.

What are the chances that they're trying to implement Wii Motion Plus Controls?
High Voltage Software just recently changed their earlier stance and confirmed that they would add certain WMP controls into the game. But their game is coming out in March.
Mad World is supposed to be out in January, we're talking less than four months here, and they're making "fundamental changes"?

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. The Wii Motion Plus could benefit this game greatly.

This looks incredible.

I wonder if this will be the game that makes me turn on my Wii again. Its been about a year since Zak & Wiki made me do it.

Sorta hoping the original scheme was like TP and the new one is like NMH.
Roto13 @ Oct 6th 2008 5:09PM
So damn excited about this game. I love the crap out of Clover.

If the Wii had a few more titles as interesting as this, I would pick one up.
