As an active Parkour / Free Running practitioner that has been featured on ESPN, National Geographic, Spike TV, G4TV, RTL, and countless others... the terms "Still Alive" is something some of us in the community say often. So I'm not too shocked to hear that as a title.

wow, you're so awesome cause you were in all those. Of course, you could have just said, "I'm in the parkour scene, and it's a well-known phrase among us" but, hey, any opportunity to drop tv show names so we all know how cool and popular you are, right?

I would like to disagree with your claim to the origin of EA's use of this phrase. I'm quite famous as I like to post on sites like Joystiq, 1UP, and NeoGAF. I know a good meme when I see one and it is obvious that EA has abused Valve's popularization of this phrase in the gaming community. I haven't seen much on this game, but this obvious meme ripoff means the metacritic score won't break 80%. ZOMGWTFBBQ!!!PWNEDOWNZORED

All I got from this thread is that Ryoga enjoys ethos argumentation to bolster his image and Vegeta is a kiss-ass.

Yeah, two songs released a decade between each other maybe. But two songs, both main themes for videogames, within a year of each other?

Hmm, both games feature a springy female protagonist with a five-letter name, both feature a clean, white setting with various behind-the-scenes murky dark bits, both feature motion sickness for the uninitiated and both have a theme tune called "Still Alive".

They're linked I tell you, we're through the looking glass here, which is both a mirror and a portal...

Is anyone else tired of Portal being the Messiah for gaming? Everytime someone mentions it and starts singing that song, I want to punch them.

It's like the "THIS IS SPARTA" craze.

Ah, those are some great comments right there. Oh and @Ignatius, Portal is barely a year old (2 days to go!), so no I'm not tired of it yet. How damn long were "All Your Base" jokes around for?

Cause there's no use crying over broken bones
You just get back up and grab the lowest rung
And you climb and scramble
Till you deliver your bundle
at which point, you're still alive

The Crash has as a song titled "Still Alive" that predates both of those games by far. Stupid article to to act like this is even remotely a big deal.

Whatever.

I dont care what the song is called, i just want it.

Ever since i heard the music in the very first trailer for the game, i've been hooked.

Its just brilliant, and i hope that music from the original trailer, is the same song we're talking about here.

Also i guess if the pre-order CD is being handed out starting this week, it wont be long before i'll be able to get a sneaky copy of it from somewhere.

Cant wait

I hope you get screwed into being on a reality tv show that actually forces you to run from a helecopter by leaping across buildings...but then you fail to jump the gap.
