Readers pick best webcomic: A Trick of Retrospective
For quite a while, it was a virtual tie between it and xkcd's Flash Games, but in the end Penny Arcade's homage to Mega Man 9 A Trick of Retrospective took top honors in this week's webcomic wrapup. As one commenter quipped, the fourth panel -- the one with all the screaming and angry swearing at the TV -- is conspicuously absent.
Second place went to xkcd, while third went to the other homage to Mega Man 9, Digital Unrest's Return to Form. Thanks to everyone who voted and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you stumble upon this week.

Ugh, that discussion thread for the last wrap-up largely consisted of "They all fail because I'm not laughing." It was fucking annoying; web-comics are usually funny, yes, but they're truth and they're aesthetic appeal are also important. I couldn't vote for XKCD when not only did i agree more with the content of PA, but also the art's 50,000 times better. Or does this make me a graphics whore?

XKCD's art is beautiful.

i've been reading comics of all forms my entire life and totally agree that comic is more a general term from the days the medium began. years ago i started referring to them as sequential art as a smart ass response to friends who joked about my habits.

I've got another Mega Man 9 comic to throw onto the heap. This one's a tribute to DLC.

There is a huge disparity between the two comics I did this week. The first I did in twenty minutes while I was drunk, the other took twelve sober hours to do.http://www.ofnoobsandmen.com
