THQ worldwide studio exec leaves, job split into three roles

THQ's "internal problems" popped up again as Exec. VP of Worldwide Studios Jack Sorensen has quit the company. Sorensen's role will now be played by three different executives promoted from within the company. The company's president, Brian Farrell, believes this will make "a more efficient management structure."

THQ has been on a bad road lately, pinning many of its hopes and blockbuster dreams this year on a few titles like Saints Row 2. The company laid off 200 employees in May and has been having negative financial reports for a year. If Atari can turn it around, there's hope for THQ.

Why after the release of GTA4 would you come out with Saints Row 2?

SR2 is basically just an ugly bastard cousin, who dropped out of clown college.
Sorry to those of you who really enjoyed Saints Row1, while i rather play GTA .15 on Coleco Vision. (if it existed)

You're sorry for me because I ENJOYED playing Saints Row? You're a condescending prick. Saints Row was GTA:3 with more humor, just as much action and DEFINITELY better looking than ANY GTA before part 4.

I'm GLAD you played GTA on Colecovision in your head while I played Saints Row on my Xbox 360. I'm very confident in saying I had much more fun than you did playing your imaginary game.

As for Saints Row 2, Saints Row has a completely different soul than Grand Theft Auto games. The Saints are more like your 1990's gansta's (like GTA: San Andreas) with a whole slew of different characters. Saints doesn't take itself serious... enough defending / explaining, enjoy your "bubble".

Nice job comparing the GTA series to that stereotypical, toilet humored, poorly designed, "industry knock off"...

Yes GTA has stereo types and toilet humor, but its done in a dark mature kinda way.
