New Xbox Experience coming Nov. 19

Finally on Nov. 19, you can kiss that old Xbox experience goodbye as you welcome the shiny New Xbox Experience, and all the Avatars, group chatting and other new features it brings in tow. That's worldwide, by the way.

We're hearing this and a lot more in our TGS 2008 Microsoft press briefing liveblog. Come join us.

Why didn't you take any pictures of the finished dash? I wanted to see it to make sure they didn't use the horrible green colorscheme. I loved the mockups. I hope it looks like them.

Anyone really unexcited about this? From what I have seen, it makes navigating slower, and does not really offer anything new (aside from the game installs).

On my 20GB Premium, it will allow me to install 1 game, big whoop. From what I see, it gives a very marginal increase in speed (10 secs GTA IV bootup time), but takes an hour to install.

Sure there is lots of hype, But I can't see why, they are just copying Sony/Apple/Nintendo..

Does anyone find this date a bit late. Scene it 2 which uses avatars comes out on the 28th and originally MS said that gears 2 would come with it and thats on the 7th.

Wow, talk about a really late "Fall" date. I know Winter doesn't technically start until around December 20th, but there is already snow on the ground up in the North by late November.

I'm really looking forward to this. Its not something I expected honestly, and it's good that the UI is being updated. It's basically going to provide a deeper level of ease of
use, Netflix streaming, and my favorite feature, HDD installs, this will be great for playing Elder Scrolls 4. Now I just have to get a bigger hard drive, something I never thought I'd need.
