With all the games that have come out since mario galaxy for the wii, if you cant find just one that would make you turn your wii on I doubt theres going to be any reason to turn it on in the future..

I wouldn't say that as though a shitload of games had come out since Galaxy, TwEE. Though, yeah, there are a decent amount that have, and it's kinda hard to imagine that none of them at all appeal to ya.

Try buying a new game. It really helps that "having stuff to play" thing.

Well, when you also have a 360 and a PS3 - no - there hasn't been anything worth turning the Wii on since SMG over MGS4, Force Unleashed, Castle Crashers, BC Rearmed, Braid, GTA IV, Rez HD, Ikaruga, Lost Odyssey, etc.

Smash Bros? Mario Kart? Okami? Wario Land?

I can't tell if it's intentional irony or just the beautiful kind that you listed 3 remakes there. And as for the rest of that list, there's no amount of quality separating them from the Wii releases, just a matter of personal preference.

@Samfish

Smash Bros?
If the online had a better interface. I actually had it, wound up not opening it, and returned it.

Mario Kart?
Very hard for me not to buy. In fact, it was the first MK I have not owned. I just can't deal with the AI cheapness anymore. If that would have been fixed I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

Okami?
Already PS2'd it

Wario Land?
Tempting but with Force unleashed, Dead Space, Fable II, and Gears 2 in the same window combined with the fact it's just a good but not AAA title - also a no go.

For example - I was pumped for Samba de Amigo but the control issues killed it for me. Double whammy was selling my Dreamcast set in anticipation.

There's always the next Zelda... :)

I'd be thrilled for this, for the first game alone. I played the second one, and was so disappointed that I eventually ditched my GameCube. Never played the third one.

I'd even be cool if the first game just made its way to Virtual Console as a straight port. I'd buy it.

i haven't played it in a long time, but those star wars games were and still are really good looking to me and they were some of the first titles on game cube

Rogue Squadron 2 was pretty awesome looking already. I hope enhancing it means mostly putting in some awesome A.I. awesome.

I do quite like the idea of upping 1 to 2 & 3's standards, and just generally fixing 3 up a bit (i ran into quite a few little bugs in that one myself)

I never bought 1, and it would be worth it to get that, 2, and a more playable 3. on one disc, certainly.

It's amazing to finally hear some of these Wii fanboys realize how much Nintendo really sucks now

Yeah, the time since E3 has weeded the idiots from our ranks, that's for sure

Natural selection is fun.

It's even more amazing to see the more hardcore of them to try and defend every stupid descision nintendo makes, even when it means they're getting raped.

Watching them try and defend nintendo at all times has provided a lot of entertainment for me over the last 2 years.

Ehh, some of it isn't defensible, but some attacks are simply unwarranted.

It's our job to distinguish between the two. Also to clarify the FUD that gets spread around.

I would probably pay money for another version of Rogue Leader. I played the hell out of that game when I got my Gamecube.

I'm new to Nintendo, but I don't see how this helps people who owned this game before, or the other classics titles.

On another note, hasn't that game held up well?

Considering that the games that have surpassed this, GameCube or Wii, number enough to count on both hands, i would presume so.

does it seem to anyone else that the Wii is basically a Gamecube redo?

Honestly, Wii is what GameCube should have been. The N64-GC jump was the short jump, the Wii is where they should have been 5 years ago. Using full-sized DVD's, strong as an Xbox (on paper, stronger in reality due to Xbox's inefficient architecture), basic online play, a real UI, etc.

The wii is aimed at Soccer moms, kiddies, gram/gramps, and man-children.

To hell with Nintendo.

Could be cool. RE4 was awesome on the Wii, if you can control your X-Wing with the chuk and AIM with the wiimote, I could see this being very different and cool compared to the original...

Otherwise, forget it.

Gotta remember that a lot of people didn't own the original games, so, this is a way for them to get their hands on a new copy. If you have the original GC or N64 of any of the remakes, these games probably aren't so much for you, as the control changes don't add THAT much.

I love how people are attacking Nintendo for what another company is planing on doing with these games.
