It says for the Wii on GT. Is Suda involved again?

Just because GT says that doesn't make it so (though, Wii would seem to be the most likely candidate).

And, I wouldn't doubt Suda51 is involved. Since it IS Grasshopper's game, and that's Suda's studio...

By far my favorite game on the Wii, first party games be damned. I cannot believe they are already working on a sequel! This is the best possible news to come out of TGS. I'm going to bed, wake me up when NMH2 is out.

And for anyone worried about Suda 51 not being involved, the poster on the building about 20 seconds in has the number "51" in the top corner. He's back.

I think I am the only person on the planet that thinks waving the wiimote around like an idiot wouldn't be much fun.

I liked NMH's because it didn't go overboard with the motion controls. Swinging the wiimote every time I wanted to swing a lightsaber would be damn annoying.

I guess what I'm saying is that I hope we get both control options the oldschool one and the wii motion plus one.

"I think I am the only person on the planet that thinks waving the wiimote around like an idiot wouldn't be much fun."

But didn't you have to do that in the last game anyway to recharge your beam sword? Actually less waving it around, and more pumping it up and down in a rather suggestive fashion. I'd imagine that makes you look 10x as idiotic.

Yes, but that was funny and you weren't constantly doing it. It worked because unlike Twilight Princess you didn't have to swing the wiimote every time you wanted to attack only to finish people off.

It used the wiimote in creative ways rather than just what everyone thought it should do.

From answering your cellphone by placing the wiimote speaker to your ear. To making a jacking off motion to recharge the sabers power.

The game had charm and was inventive with the Wii's controls.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Well, this could be a prerendered video. DS can do cel-shading, afterall. So it wouldn't be impossible to pull off NMH's style in a (lower-res, lower-poly) DS title.

Suda games are niche enough. They certainly aren't going to limit their audience by using WiiMotionPlus.

Perhaps all those people who get MotionPluses may be keeping their eyes out for more compatible games, and if it's one of the first ones, it could help. On the other hand, I hope they take their time with it to make it as awesome as possible.

I know that there were some filter effects on the trailer to make it look as if the video was a bit damaged or something, but something also tells me that the video wasn't displaying properly in my browser.

'Tis a shame.

Why? It would be infinitely better on the better consoles. You would just have to do without the gimmicky motion controls, which isn't a loss at all really.

They're ruining a golden opportunity both in sales and overall quality of the game if they don't have a 360/ps3 version. This game would sell much better on the real consoles.

Clearly it sold well enough in the first place. Plus, releasing it on the Wii means they have a much, much larger potential market and much less competition. Your argument is fail.

Sure, it's technically a larger "potential" market, but realistically it's a smaller market. Sure, there are more Wii's out there than the other two (although when you combine the other two as I'm sure they'd do if they went that route rather than the Wii route, it's pretty close), but the vast majority of those Wii owners couldn't tell you what the heck a "No More Heroes" is even though the first game came out on their console.

I would say that the market for a game like this is actually much larger on the 360/PS3 than the Wii.

Theres a lot that needs to be fixed for a sequel.

Either make the over-world/sand box part fun and easy to control or get rid of it.

A little more detail in the main stages wouldn't hurt. Its not fun running down a long hall only to get turned around in a fight and realize you don't know which end of the hall you started from, because it all looks the same..
..
could go for a little more motion control though.

Everything else is great

I'm glad to see this is getting a sequel, but there is a LOT of room for improvement over the original.
Mainly, get rid of the awful open world portion and overhaul the combat, which was possibly some of the most boring, repetitive gameplay I've ever experienced.

I personally liked the combat. Sure, it was a bit repetitive, but it was fun.

I do agree about changing the overworld. It was a huge pain to have to go back to K-Entertainment or the Job Center every time you wanted to redo an assassination gig/part-time job... Travis has a cellphone, right? Why not allow him to use that to call K-Entertainment/Job Center to redo gigs/jobs?

Hell, they could get rid of it entirely. Afterall, isn't part of NMH a bit of a tribute to classic gaming (the 8-bit interface and whatnot)... They could replace Santa Destroy (or wherever NMH:DS may take place) with a level select menu.

Or, maybe give more to do in Santa Destroy. Make it so you can talk to the mindless NPCs wandering around. I know Santa Destroy is meant to be a desolate town... but it's so big and you can't tell me there's more to do there than what you already do?

Did ya tried different thing??

I had heard this from many people who just keept smashing A button

Always try to combine up and down, also A and B, i came to make pretty wacky moves hitting up down, sword hit and when it came to, wrestle moves as finishing moves

I agree with CJ, if you tried to vary up the combat, it could be quite fun

The problem is there was no material incentive to vary up the combat. Wrestling moves gave you nothing, but made the combat take longer, stance shifts really didn't do anything. Something as simple as giving us a reason for using Wrestling (aside from the Wrestling-only missions)

During the brief period where I owned a wii No More Heroes was definitely my favorite title. I ended up selling the wii because the great games for it were pretty much single player, and I had beaten them. (NMH, Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3) and SSBB wasn't getting played much either. This and Pikmin 3 might convince me to get a wii again. (Or at least borrow someone elses)
