PSN Thursday: Qore, Linger in Shadows, much more

Time to bring out fat kitty again as the PSN update drops a bunch of new content on us this week. There's interactive art piece Linger in Shadows, a bunch of new add-on content, a new Qore, the level pack for echochrome PSP and a whole truckload of premium themes. Check it all out after the break.

Help! Why do so many of my ps3 downloads seem to have no sound now? Anyone? Linger in Shadows seems awesome, but silent. Same with NBA2k8. Strangely, and thankfully, Wipeout HD has glorious sound.

Try deleting the broken files and re-downloading?

Check your audio settings in the XMB.
Burnout had a similar problem, where if you had all sound options ticked the game got confused about which one to pick and got an unsupported format out to your decoder.
I fixed it by just selecting DTS.

i haven't purchased anything off psn store since it updated and now i find out i can't just direct buy any more, i have to add $5. and i have to pay tax.

The minimum you can add to your account is $5. If you buy anything over that then the exact amount will be taken from your card.

Also, I'm pretty sure I've been paying tax since the very beginning.

i live in new jersey, we do have internet sales tax but i don't remember it applying to my psn purchases before

Just got through with a play through of Linger in Shadows and I don't really know what to say about it. Its not really a game, but more like an interactive movie. Its really interesting to look at and play with. Sound is good. The entire presentation gives is able to generate emotion to, which is interesting.

In summary: Its $3.00, and fun to play with. Might be interesting if you are into the Demo Scene. It also gives you trophies. I've unlocked about 57%. I have no idea on how to get the rest. In that respect its like a puzzle game.

If you're the artsy-fartsy type, its worth a look.

Its batshit insane, floaty dog and the ominous cat will haunt my dreams forever.

Note, its not a game, at all. But i used to spend a couple of quid on demo discs from the public domain scene back on the amiga, so i found nice value in this purchase. Hope for more like this from the PSN.
