See the first gameplay trailer for Sega's Bayonetta

It may be taken off-screen and, as such, not the best quality, but here it is: the first public look at gameplay from Bayonetta, the PS3 and Xbox 360 action title Devil May Cry director Hideki Kamiya is working on for Sega. And ... it looks like it plays a lot like – ready for it? – Devil May Cry. Check out the full trailer after the break.

That actually looked pretty interesting, in a crazy, badass sorta way.

I knew there was something funny about Nero, so he was a girl after all. (I'm just joking here, I love DMC series guys)

It look exactly the same, but using a girl instead of a "guy" (once again, just being funny, no offence to anyone, LOL).

I love DMC, and just as people are saying, this looks to be the next evolution of the DMC formula, with a chick. I'm interested.

lmao im not that kind of guy that buys games cuz the main char is a girl... but i have to say that was pretty cool/hot when her cloths turned into a demon or w/e that was.... but the music kind of made it sound like a clown party... and her voice kind of pisses me off

I like it. It looks a bit more arcadey and over the top than the Devil May Cry franchise has ever been (excepting the bat-shooting guitar, of course).

I thought the FMV was pretty bad but the in-game stuff looked like fun. I never play more than a few hours of the DMC games but a hot woman will change my mind.

...and yet...I can't help but have my excitement tempered by it looking so much like DMC (which I don't like!)

But Clover never let me down (except for VJ:RHR), so I trust Platinum won't either!

Remember that Platinum is only part Clover, it's also part former Capcom In-house employees

This game looks really awesome in my opinion. And since the DMC games are the only reason I even looked at the PS consoles, I'm sure I'll love this game.

Judging from the trailer this game doesn't take itself too seriously, which I like. Also, the music sounds awesome.

Looks pretty good. Cant wait to see more.

This looks fukken ausum. Definitely can't wait for this, especially since DMC4 was... ever so slightly disappointing I thought.

I prefer her 'devil trigger' too. Giant dragon thing > little horns
