See the first gameplay trailer for Sega's Bayonetta

It may be taken off-screen and, as such, not the best quality, but here it is: the first public look at gameplay from Bayonetta, the PS3 and Xbox 360 action title Devil May Cry director Hideki Kamiya is working on for Sega. And ... it looks like it plays a lot like – ready for it? – Devil May Cry. Check out the full trailer after the break.

WTF!?!?

I'd say that was seriously cheezy, I had to switch off mid video due to too much laughter, it's basically DMC but with a woman acting japanese idea of 'cool' instead of Dante.

I can't stand 'showing off' games, lol, but hey, those who love DMC wouldn't be dissopointed, they have certainly delivered it to the fans.

This is disappointing. It's just Devil May Cry again. Devil May Cry was compared to God of War, this is his version of Heavenly Sword.

I'm bummed. The character is interesting, and I like the goofy Japanese music. But the gameplay looks about the same as DMC.

I'm still holding out hope, but right now, it just looks like more of the same with new graphics.

I think it was the other way around; the first DMC came out 4 years before the first GOW

I fail

I was not trying to imply that DMC copied God of War. Jaffe himself (creator of God of War) said God of War was inspired by DMC.

I'm just saying this looks like they're doing a "Heavenly Sword" on DMC. Change the protaganist to a woman and don't change a lot more. This actually seems to change less from DMC than Heavenly Sword did from God of War.
