PS3 may have lost an exclusive, but it gained another. Quantum Theory is a PS3-exclusive third-person shooter that's supposedly Japan's answer to Gears of War. It comes from Tecmo's Makoto Shibata and will undoubtedly feature all the things needed for a good American-style shooter: greys and browns, explosions, a cover system and ridiculously large arms.

To me Resistance 2 is a much more exciting and much more interesting game. Why? Because better online co-op. Playing with 1 other person isn't as interesting as playing with 3,4,5,6, or even 7 additional people. Then the 60 player online death match styling... I mean... for crying out loud NO OTHER GAME ON THE MARKET COMPETES WITH THAT. Show me ONE PC game that can touch those numbers in the Shooter Genre
Here's a fact though. Gears 2 is the last exclusive that Epic Games are contractually bound to place onto the 360. That means Gears of War 3, is probably going to make a jump to multi. At which point owning a 360 will be nearly worthless (IMO) with only a few exclusives and half or most of those exclusives are getting ported to the PS3 with additional content (Sony demands the additional content for the game being ported)
So Kevin... don't give a Sony fan (a different breed than a PS3 fanboy) a reason to go on a rant. It's not good for your rep.

on topic: this game looks pretty awesome. I dont think ive ever seen too many Japanese first or third person shooters.. historically they havent sold well in japan.. maybe they are trying to tap the EU and NA markets where these types of games garner higher sales...

Please dont go everbroad with the animestuff, it would be fine with som fresh blood. Not just gritty/gray with a taste of lizard ( locust ), but if the "japanise" it to much it wont succed outside asia.
Could be great (like final fantasy/MGS/DMC) but as stated earlier, it could suck hard.

well, from the good ol online dictionary: a quantum is the smallest amount of a physical quantity that can exist independently, especially a discrete quantity of electromagnetic radiation.

Gears was boring by yourself and only fun if playing with a friend or someone that you know (like most games) it was just not the same playing with randoms . . i like the very japanese setting it seems to have like a final fantasy type thing going on very fantasticle (i know it's not a word but you get what i mean)

looks like a dmc-gears of war lovechild. cool. the design of their armor appears to have a gothic design. the space marine design is too over used anyway.
