PS3 may have lost an exclusive, but it gained another. Quantum Theory is a PS3-exclusive third-person shooter that's supposedly Japan's answer to Gears of War. It comes from Tecmo's Makoto Shibata and will undoubtedly feature all the things needed for a good American-style shooter: greys and browns, explosions, a cover system and ridiculously large arms.

lol a jfps looks a little silly to me i would have to see some game play footage to see how well it comes together. just hope they dont give the male characters that girly final fantasy look they love in japan.

Nice one kevin ya you are trolling it up.Resistance 2 is a diffrent game then Gears.Resistance has alot more going for it tho,Gears 2 looks like gears 1, just with a diffrent color.Resistance 2 on the other hand looks way better then R1 and has way more modes to play.So before you come on this site and proclaim you have a Ps3,then turn around and talk trash about Resistance 2.Think about it first moron,Gears 2 will be a solid game and the xbotboys will clamer up for it.Resistance 2 will be the better game for the buck.

If you have ever played gears of war, you would know that this is not even close to it, it also does not give real indication of the game play, lastly, the stand off seen at the end looks retarded. weak!

I had a 360 before I bought a PS3 (much prefer the PS3 - just better all round).
However, I have to admit Gears of War was a very good game on the 360. I spent hours with it online and off and the feel of it and the gameplay were spot on.
I wish Epic would cut the ties with MS and just release it properly for the PS3 (but then I don't have much faith in their UE3, esp on PS3, anyway).

I'm sorry but that resembles neither GoW or an "American style shooter". It looks Japanese, very much so. What people seem to forget is that the xbox and games like gears completely changed things. Western devs are the new hotness, and American gamers prefer the western games now. Japanese games all look alike, they all feature platinum blonde vixens and scarred up men that look like girls. There's always a dragon and magic and swords and kung fu and they don't resemble American games at all. So stop comparing these games to western games like gears, because it's just not accurate.

Dude who CARES ABOUT GEARS, besides thats the only thing that 360 has. Bungie is now going multi platform so i don't want to hear about halo.Besides kill zone 2 resistance 2 and socom confrontation are much better than what x box has to offer so come on!!!!
