"The monster graphics are impressive for the wii, but at the sacrifice of the environments, they look super flat."

Yes, that is why I feel sorry for fans of this franchise. Muddy, bland, flat environments just take away from the immersiveness of a game.

I really, really want to see what Team ICO has cooking for the PS3. When is Sony supposed to announce the 9 titles?

Oh jesus christ. The jealousy is just bursting from you over this game today. Give it a rest. You're more irritating than usual.

Also, Sony DID announce their games. They were NEVER going to announce 11 new games. That was a mistranslation. Go read the Sony conference live blog thread at NeoGAF.

I am amazed by that trailer. This is the first Wii game that I feel the absolute need to own. Honestly, I am shocked how much I want to get ahold of that.

Also, Killjebus, you do know that you are usually guilty of what you accuse Fernando of right? This game series has been a huge success and everyone knows its quality software.

I will have to dissagree with you there Duke. To the best of my knowledge, I have never given an opinion of a game that I have not played. I might say it LOOKS like a bad or good game, but I will not say that it IS a bad or good game.

I didn't know it was quality software duke. I knew it sells like crazy in Japan, but that doesn't tell me it's good because I've questioned Japan's tastes for years now.

There's a reason why they've fallen behind everyone else in development (hint: They haven't changed in 10 years...I was shocked at how similar Lost Odyssey was to FF7 and 8)

You just watched that video though right? That just looks like a damn fun game does it not? I think based on watching that footage it is fair for people to think its going to be good. Especially with the series fanbase. So, c'mon, admit it, that looks like a title to grab.

Fallen behind is a bad term to use, although to someone like you who calls PS360 the "real" consoles, it might be the case. They haven't adapted to the "tech-first" mentality that seems to dominate that field of thinking

Not to say that Western devs don't make great gameplay or art assets or styles, they do, but they seem to hinge all of it on technological capabilities, why Western devs sink on the Wii but create glorious things for the others.

I really thought Wii sports is the game you need to own, since it is bundled with the Wii.

If that logic were true (and it's not), western developers would be even further behind everyone else.

Fallen behind is exactly the right words to use. The japanese developers are all saying it as well. Last night during one of the live blogs that's all they talked about, how the industry and the games have evolved while they're still stuck in 1998.

The whole "japan has fallen behind" is such bullshit. Those amazing western games you people are so impressed with have been around forever, they're called PC games.

And japan isn't falling behind. They are ahead of the trend. Overly cinematic games are not going to dominate anymore, if you haven't noticed.

LOL, that's exactly what I was thinking, TwEE.

Games like Halo, CoD, Gears, etc. They're so generic and old. People were freaking out about Halo and I was like "I don't get it... it's like a 10 year old PC game."

While games like PixelJunk Eden, Flow, Braid, Lost Winds, The Last Guy, etc. I get very excited about.

Not that I don't enjoy classic games, but I find it hard to get excited about new FPS's for example. A legacy game such as an FPS, really needs something to stand out for me to play it, or at least really really good story telling.

Ideally, you would be playing Monster Hunter Freedom 2 while you waited.

That's nothing. I've been to these conventions before. When it get's really crazy is when they start handing out prizes. It's amazing how many people will crowd a booth for a simple T-shirt.

That is THE single best looking Wii game I have ever seen! I'm not talking about the pre-rendered parts, the gameplay graphics look freakin amazing.

This game looks retarded on account of that's now how things act in motion underwater. Swinging your sword/club one way while the rest of you remains motionless as occurs in some of the video is not going to happen.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS GAME!

Okay, I'm still bummed out it won't be on PS3 considering the amount of oppotunities they had, including better online play and a massive world of monsters would be kick ass. I'm thinking WOW on PS3. But hey, you can't have everything, heres to hoping they pull off something similar on Wii.

But I still can't wait :D

This and 2G for my PSP will make me a very happy bunny indeed.

Capcom actually putting effort into an original Wii game? I'm shocked.

Looks promising, I'll keep an eye on this. Looking forward to reading some hands-on previews.

Absolutely beautiful game. I've never played any of the MH series, but from what I can see, it seems to be incredibly popular. I might need to see what all the fuss is about.

+1 Internets to Capcom for once again pushing the limit of a console.

I'm not impressed by the graphics seen in that video. However, it is good news to those people who care about the series. And considering the amount of people in line, it seems like there are many. Congrats.
