even better: full 2D castlevania, but with HD resolution Alex Ross style hand-painted sprites (think Marvels or Kingdom Come)!!!!

Lament of Innocence & Curse of Darkness, very good games in their own right, and definitely infinitely more playable than the N64 3D Castlevanias. A 2.5 SoTN would suck donkey balls, just make Alucard and Richter playable, ohh, and the Axeamor code from SoTN,....WHAT!!!!!

No, it really is. Turn up the contrast on the image, it's the exact same design as alucard from SOTN, just in 3d. Thus the whole spiel about "The 10-second clip features your typical creep wielding a glowing-red sword and includes some text about a father, his family and a curse --". Zoom into the image and compare it with this.

It IS him. and I AM excited ohoho

I want it more than anyone but all of their people look like that. Don't get you hopes up anyway, doesn't mean they'll do him or the game justice and it could ruin Alucard for some people.

oops, meant to say. To be honest, it looks pretty horrible, but that is most definitely him in the video.

eeerrr.... guys...
just want to let you know...
if you click on the picture, it will take you to one of the japanese sites explaining about the castlevania.
But the big headlines in the japanese websites is that they confirmed about making the Hollywood real-live-action movie of Castlevania...
yes, Hollywood live action movie CASTLEVANIA!
I am not joking, you can try to find anybody who can read japanese and have them read the websites.....
the one thing I am wondering is, how come ps3fanboy didnt mention anything about this??
Its a BIG news for Castlevania fans right?!?!

first of all, if you don't think SOTN is the greatest caslevania ever made, you don't deserve the right to even coment on the biggest legacy of games since Roman Colloseum. I think anything containing the fast and furiouse gameplay of SOTN and the amazing character desighn of Alucard is worthy of some old fashoned desire to master the game. Throw in a massive archive of diverse items and clever hidden areas, and players will hardly care if it is 2D or not. I say rock on. This game will never die.
