Looks nice; unfortunately we all know that will never be ported to an English language version.

======================================

Considering it's a high profile Level 5 RPG, I'd wager you're wrong.

I certainly hope I'm wrong, but it's not quite the "style" of rpg that we seem to get over here. I'd pick it up immediately if they do localize it, but I absolutely will be surprised.

And I agree with the commenter below too--I don't need the English voiceovers--subtitles would be fine with me. If Level 5 is listening....

I don't pretend to understand any of that, but it looked good. Not that I'm hoping for a US release anyway. The best PSP games don't get US releases, because Sony is idiotic and xenophobic.

Wow... That looks really interesting. I'd probably buy it Day 1 of release here in N. America.

I dunno Jake; this game doesn't have a pretty-boy protagonist or the overly-complicated character designs that mainstream JRPG fans eat up. Though I'd never say never, that might dent its chances pretty hard.

I'm glad to see that so much of the dialogue is voiced and that there's furigana all over the place. This way, if it doesn't come stateside, a lot of people might actually be able to play through the import anyway.

OMG that was pure eye-candy... and turn-based RPG sweetness! Those guys at L5 surely are talented.

I really hope it gets an english version. Maybe we should start a petition already or something? Personally, I wouldn't care for english voiceovers. Subtitles would be enough.

I think this game has a better chance of getting released here than Cardboard Senki does. And since it resembles an Atlus game, maybe Atlus will bring it over.

I think it's the other way around. Cardboard Senki has a little more chance to get localized. Why? Because it's Pokemon-esque and lively. Ushiro is dark and Niche, most people won't get it at all.

Sweet. I don't care if it's dubbed or has subtitles. I'd buy it!

Subs are the cheapest option, and the option purists would like the most. I'm sure the Persona audiences will dig the game a lot, too!

@ cafecito

I've been watching fan subs for years, so it would be same as usual to me. I think I actually would prefer the japanese voice acting with subs, because often american voice actors just get the original feeling of the text wrong. That's partially translation and that's also partly just being seperate from the culture that spawned the original. There are a few anime that I've watched in both, and I usually almost always prefer the subtext version.

Yeah, that's why I said Subs are the best option. Aaaand the cheapest one (No need to hire US voiceactors)

I'm sure it will be localized. It's very similar to Jeanne D'arc in terms of overall game design, and that got localized.

OMFG! Ok, this is why I still keep playing games... I'm sick of Madden, it's the same game every year, and all the stupid sports games American's buy.

I'm sure it'll be picked up, Sony would be stupid not to bring it over to the US.

My first comment ever on joystiq or any of the 'fanboy' sites, just to comment on this. First PSP game to get me into a state of actual excitement in a long, long time. What are the odds it makes its way onto Western shores?...
