TGS 08: You got Metal Gear and Final Fantasy in my LittleBigPlanet

Sony has announced that two new LittleBigPlanet costumes will be made available for download in the future. Metal Gear Solid's Old Snake and Final Fantasy VII's Sephiroth have been stripped and their clothes donated to the LittleBigPlanet thrift store.

Unfortunately, there's no word on when they will be made available, or whether they'll be paid-for content. There's also no definite answer to whether they'll be available outside of Japan but, considering both games have large fanbases in the US and Europe, we'd be surprised if they didn't. Check out Sephiroth's Tokyo Game Show unveiling above and Old Snake's after the break.

Aren't they cute?

OLD SNAKE COSTUME

Awesome. Only "third party" costume I cared about, and I don't even have to preorder from a certain retailer to get it.

I hope we get some MGS levels and a Young Snake, Big Boss, and Revolver Ocelot costume.

if laws were in place to stop cigarette company's from advertising to children then the entire industry would be gone. there are studies seized from tobaco companies (and quotes from the subsequent reports) stating that if tobacco companies were to stop advertising to children they would go under in 30 years.

the truth is there are no effective advertising laws against tobacco, especially not in the states (though i'm not sure about japan). atleast in Canada print adds are completley banned, as well as powerswall campaigns

I played that level last night. Rex itself was impressive, especially that it worked and walked. But it was waaaaaay too slow.

Also, if a level is giving you trouble but you want to earn an object in it, you can copy any user-created level over to My Moon, go into Create, and turn any section of it into a custom object for use anywhere.

Oh my. As if Sackboy wasn't cute enough, that little Sephiroth sackboy is irresistable. As for Old Snake, I would've been happy with just the Solid Eye costume piece; a full outfit is pretty sweet.

This game is a marketer's wet dream. You could literally put any known character into this game as an outfit and it will win over a bunch of that character's fans instantly.
