I got to play this at NextFest a few weeks ago, and it plays a lot differently than Braid. They are both 2d platformers with time mechanics, but that is it. I actually prefer Winterbottom; it has a great art style and has fun with its own silent-film influences. (I thought Braid's story and art were mopey and bland.) The version of Winterbottom I played was in Flash, I'm really looking forward to the console version.

This doesn't look so much like Braid as much as it does Chronotron, one of the PAX 10 finalists.

I had a go with this game with a 360 controller at the WIRED NextFest this past week and, well, it was more of a game I'd rather watch than play myself. Very cool art style, and neat concept, but one that would frustrate me to no end. Basically, it's something like you must get these pies, but some dudes can be after you- the twist is that the dudes do exactly what you do, with maybe a few seconds time lapse, like a mirror.

It seems like there is supposed to be a way to create clones of yourself and whatnot, and each stage has different challenges, but I couldn't figure out how to really do everything in the 5 minutes I messed with it... Watching someone else who seemed to have a better hang on it than I did was cool, however! And may I say again that the old-timey, Burton-esque art style is FANTASTIC!!!
