oh god no.

Meh, this is probably why so many videogame ads/features leave people wondering what they were thinking, because some of the people involved really don't know much about games and their community at all.
Kind of like why most fantasy football articles are full of awful advice, because the big fantasy websites (yahoo, espn, sportsline, etc) hire journalists rather than fantasy football geeks.

I agree with you when it comes to fantasy football, but fantasy baseball and basketball analysis tends to be spot on. Both those sports have a long enough season to ride out statistical outliers.
Fantasy football on the other hand is downright stupid. Anyone claiming to know what will happen in terms of player performance is outright a charlatan.
Carson Palmer, Adrian Peterson, and Braylon Edwards have been joke players. No one knows anything in Fantasy football.

WTF is this horseshit?
Vegnagun bwf @ Oct 10th 2008 10:28AM
I see what you've done there, Andrew.
Zertoss @ Oct 10th 2008 10:30AM
I hope this means we'll be seeing Diablo at the Thanksgiving Day parade.
Farseer (GDI) @ Oct 10th 2008 10:38AM
Hmmm.... the same clothes updated slightly every season? Yep, this guy is a perfect fit for Activision.

Awesome post, hahahaha.

Just Mr ESC. @ Oct 10th 2008 11:19AM

meist3r @ Oct 10th 2008 11:30AM
Dude, I'm European ... that's a purse :p
Metal Geario 360 @ Oct 10th 2008 10:46AM
And i thought it was just a big "Sale" ad(spam) smack dab in the middle of Joystiq @ first glance...

No stranger than Reggie, i suppose. His background included Pizza Hut and VH1, iirc.
Vcize @ Oct 10th 2008 11:45AM
Somehow that doesn't surprise me.
tmacairjordan87 @ Oct 10th 2008 12:36PM
Ahh now I understand his previously puzzling question "why aren't the hardcore happy? They have animal crossing!". He honestly doesn't know what we want being from a non-game background.
I forgive your ignorance reggie!
MowDownJoe @ Oct 10th 2008 11:16AM
Is clicking Shipping & Returns supposed to show something? It just hides the part of the article that we see at first, with no way to see it again without hitting Refresh?
Dirty @ Oct 10th 2008 11:29AM
The higher up the executive the less the relative knowledge of the industry they need. This guy is going to keep his ducks in a line and keep advertising on budget. These guys are in the business of numbers and people. The consultants and creative people are the ones who need to be gamers.
Haggard (Mr.ESC resurrected on a... thursday?!) @ Oct 10th 2008 12:34PM
What's columbus day?
Nice post btw
Hey Apples @ Oct 10th 2008 1:33PM
Posting a creative officer going to Activision is a bit like posting an ER doctor in a morgue.
Tez (PSN: Tezasaurus) @ Oct 10th 2008 1:45PM
I think Sliwinski just out-Ludwig'd Ludwig.
theturtle363 @ Oct 10th 2008 3:33PM
further proof Activision is the new, and worse EA
