And Rosencrantz (PSP) and Guildenstern (DS) are just sort of around, and no one really cares about them anyway.

"Consumer acceptance" is such a frightening term. I'm no businessman, but if you're not selling well, maybe the problem isn't consumers. Maybe?

Why is Sony so concerned about this? Nintendo isn't in direct competition with Sony or Microsoft, after all.

I'd guess its because HDTVs and Blue-ray aren't selling that great in japan. (or outside the US for that matter). People in the US have always had huge TV sets, but in japan people have tiny apartments, and so SDTV and DVD works fine for them.

NB/ My tv is 14".

A 42" HDTV in a 52" apartment is kinda overkill.

Mr. Khan an NES released in 1986 had the equivalent cost of $499 for the $250 bundle and $400 for the $199 bundle once adjusted for inflation.

I have NEVER heard anyone say a NES was cheap, as such I think they were released before you were born.

If you're going to talk about history that you don't have intimate knowledge of try to keep your facts straight. It totally bolsters your argument.

Most consoles selling points are that they are cutting edge. So what is it that you're asking for exactly?

I'll throw this in the air.

The PS3 and the 360 really compliment each other.

For every fault the 360 has, the PS3 picks up the slack, and vice versa.
