A release date wasn't the only thing concerning Dead Rising: Chop 'Til You Drop to come out of Japan this week. A new trailer for the game, as you can see above, managed to escape the craziness that is TGS08.Within, you'll see a lot of the stuff you've seen before, just, you know, in motion. There's zombies, Frank jumping out of a helicopter and plenty of carnage to satisfy your every need.

I know the Wii can't handle the 80 billion zombies on the 360 but I'm kinda saddened that there only seem to be about 6 zombies on the screen at once I'll still get the game though

ANyone else not concerned about the number of zombies, but the early PS2 graphics (preferred by imaginary people!), no time limit(/challenge), and no photo journalism?

I'd like to know what games you were playing in 2000, 'cause outside of visual -style-, for the most part games look an awful lot better now, especially with an engine like RE4's.

State of Emergency was an early PS2 game and it had a load more people on screen at a time than this.
Admittedly, they looked rubbish and the AI wasn't that great. But I'd rather they tone things down to pump up the body count.

Hmm. Actually, looks on par with the 360 version to me.
There aren't as many zombies at one time, but groups of 8-12 are plenty. And the motion controls look good.

This game looks like shit. No amount of blind fanboyism is going to change that.

It really does look a lot better than before; however, it still has some problems.
- Number of zombies (of course)
- enemy AI
- hit detection
- animations
- glitches (I saw a lot of them in the demo, but that could have changed)
If Capcom fixes these issues, then I'll happily buy it.

Well, it seems that applies to just you, as an importer. I've read several times that they'll be re-working the controls when they do the NA ports.
Also, I've never played the 360 version of Dead Rising. I know there are many, many more zombies but how does the rest of this game differ?...Besides the graphics.
