BlizzCon 2008: WoW Wrath of the Lich King new gameplay and images
If you've been playing the Wrath of the Lich King beta, then this stuff isn't new to you. However, it sure is pretty. All those lush environments, just waiting to be riddled with the corpses of the vanquished. Straight to you from BlizzCon comes the video above, and the gallery below.

In before "$10,000 PC" statements of idiocy.

I don't know man. The requirements for this game are extremely low.

are you kidding me? WoW takes nothing to run. I played it on a 4-5 year old Dell computer before i got my new laptop.

"Welcome to World of Warcraft, Wrath of the Lich King. For your first quest I want you to go kill 60 wolves, then 60 snow wolves, and finally 60 elder snow wolves. It's gonna be great!"

after that it would be a great help if you could go gather livers and hearts from animals that miraculously survive without these parts

And then could you run to a town which is an hour away and deliver this letter for 4exp?

These graphics are pretty amazing. I'm really impressed.

It's not the graphics. It's the art style of the game itself. Graphics will age quickly, but great art will always stay beautiful.

funny how the rainbow was an object and not a optical phenomena as it should be. i.e. it would move about with you rather than stay put..

I don't know. After playing since the beginning, taking a year off them picking it up again for the first expansion and now having been off for another year. It looks like WoW to me, nothing more. It really doesn't make me want to renew my subscription and start playing again.

Exactly my thoughts. There is nothing in this video that would make me go back to this game. I noticed a lot of old objects with new skins, not to mention the boss encounters that are just plain silly.
The only thing I really enjoyed in this game was exploration - there really was a nice feel to the game - but that will get you nowhere in this saga of killing 20,000 low-poly beasts for +15% ridicule resistance.
Added to that the enormous buckets of time it incinerates, all I can say is stay away.

I also read nice articles on www.wrathking.com. Be sure to check it out. Thanks!
