This comes just in time ... I almost felt tempted to play Spore. But now my hatred has been replenished. Thanks EA for helping me save so much money.

I think you guys are maybe complaining a bit too much here. Assuming this adds a decent amount of new parts, then the price will easily be justifiable.

Then again, I'll be shocked if this even adds as many as was in the game be default, in which case it is a complete rip off. But let's wait and see before starting the fires.

It's just additional parts, the only justifiable price is $0.00 - if it added to the gameplay it might be different... but then again, their space expansion that comes out next year brings in the exception - it will allow us, the paying customers, to design new missions that will be shareable. So EA will charge us $30 to make new content... I thought that's what the paid employees were supposed to do. I wish I could find a way to do that - get people to pay ME to work for me, instead of the other way around...

I don't think anyone buys these "stuff" packs, I mean the expansion packs that actually add game play, new features, and new modes are awesome and I'd probably buy it. But I really am fine with the parts they had in the original game.

And let me guess, it only works with legit copies that come bundled with the SecuROM.exe virus? *eyeroll*

I would only pay for this if it was 10 bucks, 20 seems a little much for parts and no added gameplay.

They shoudl be focusing on new patches as well as a "real" expansion instead of releasing this for twenty dollars.

Have you heard about their "real" expansion slated for next spring? We get to pay them for the opportunity to design new missions that they then get to capitalize off of, because we won't be able to use those new missions without the expansion. Greed is consistently ruining everything that was once enjoyable in this world.

I don't want to slam companies like EA for doing this because I know that I would like more parts.....but I am not going to justify this shovel of garbage. They can show me flashy pictures and tell me that these will add to the replay value but the fact remains; you can't sugar-coat manure. If they added underwater creature capabilities then my interest would be piqued. Nevertheless I will not support companies who try to "milk" all sense of usefulness out of a game or franchise. Maybe it is because I do not play games such as WoW (for the sole reason of the monthly-fee model) but I can't see this being a sound method of building a loyal following.

Anyways I just wanted to get my opinion out.

Thanks

I am ashamed that this crap is the best they could do when there are underwater creatures to be made. It's a rip-off, w/ only 60-100 new parts for 20 bucks, and 48 new paint patterns, one of which looks just like teddy bear stitches. This is crap!
