Spider-Man: Web of Shadows launch trailer is symbio-tastic

Despite what that affront-to-mankind-in-motion-picture-form, Spider-Man 3, may have tried to make you believe, merging with a dreaded symbote doesn't turn you into a mopey jerk with an unfashionable haircut and nightmarish dance moves. We feel that the upcoming Activision web-slinging simulator, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, depicts a much more accurate account of the side-effects of fusion with tar-like alien lifeforms: A widening of the eyes, an elongation of the teeth, and tendrils -- oh, so very many tendrils.
The launch trailer for the aforementioned title, posted above, gives us a good sampling of the symbiotic adversaries we'll be pummeling come Web of Shadows' October 21 release date -- and with a classy touch of Moonlight Sonata to boot. We highly suggest checking it out -- perhaps you'll find some place in your heart that hasn't eternally sworn off games featuring the titular, charismatic wall-crawler.

Well, they can't say this game failed to sell due to the advertising. If the storyline matches what's portrayed in this video, I'll definitely pick up a copy.

Well, I am actually looking forward to this, and I know I'll be getting it. Not right away, but possibly when the price comes down a bit. But I'm a huge spidey fan.
Also, I don't know what everyone's complaining about. The graphics look fine to me. I mean, honestly, when did people start bitching about that? Since when does a game have to look realistic to be fun? I forget the person who said this, but one commenter said their not getting the game because it looks bad. Well, IMO, this game looks much better than something like WoW, yet that game has how many million players?

And you're right. Being optimistic is a defense mechanism for all the pain he's been through. Is he a funny guy yes? But is that all his is? Absolutely not. While you may get that impression from reading his appearances in team up comics or specials, but his own series tends to be often get pretty serious. And that's his own appeal. Spider-man isn't like other heroes. He's human. He's a guy who commonly doubts himself about being a superhero(I mean there are times where he just wants to stop being Spiderman). And that's why people like him, because they are able to relate to him. It just bother me that people are going like, "WHY ISN'T HE BEING FUNNAY??" As if that's all there is to the character.

For those whining about the graphics, the joystiq trailer is a poor representation of how the game looks and runs. The gametrailer version is much better.
