Wow...that looks awesome.
motang @ Oct 11th 2008 3:11AM
Can't wait for this game to come, hopefully I shall have enough bones for a PS3 and this game soon!
mr_bambino_dent @ Oct 11th 2008 3:21AM
I think it will be a great hit.
Freedom @ Oct 11th 2008 3:37AM
Honestly, I wasn't too excited for this just because they say it'll play like Street Fighter 2 when I prefer Street Fighter 3. But now, I'm actually really excited about it. Capcom is coming out with some great new shit that I just can't wait to play. RE5 and SF4 in particular. Next DMC5 will be announced and I'll just go up the wall. I kind of wish Capcom would bring back more of their classic greatness to modern day. But that it wishing too much.
I just had a thought about SF4. Maybe they should come out with a collector's edition that includes the soundtrack to SF4. I'd buy it. :D
EMaster @ Oct 11th 2008 3:48AM
Being an 18-year Veteran of the Street Fighter series I must say this looks beyond AWESOME!!! But I still have one question.... Does Gouken in fact LIVE???!!!!
Kye - Capcom DF @ Oct 11th 2008 6:12AM
Is anyone else led to believe that there will be a (proper) story line?
I hope so, with loads of history and insignificantly small details for people like me to obsess over *drool*.
That One @ Oct 11th 2008 4:40AM
So, when is this game coming out?
randomshagz @ Oct 11th 2008 5:57AM
Man this, RE5 and Megaman 9.
All we need now is a good FinalFight and a new Strider.
and maybe a CAPCOMvsSNK3... please.
Freedom @ Oct 11th 2008 6:10AM
Speaking of Strider, word around the internet is that there is a new Strider game in the works and it will play kinda like DMC. But it's just a rumor. Would be great if it was true.
Final Fight awww good times. As long as it's not shitty like Street Wise. God, that game was horrid. Capcom does need another crossover game. Course they got that Tatsunoko vs. Capcom but apparently it's only Arcade and Wii.
TheShizy @ Oct 11th 2008 8:15AM
Capcom vs SNK 3 would be bliss...
ZenGaijin @ Oct 11th 2008 10:05AM
I would still like a VS collection...
X-men vs StreetFighter
MarvelSuperheros vs Street Fighter
Marvel vs Capcom 1/2
Children of the Atom
I'd pay so much money for that its just not even funny.
randomshagz @ Oct 11th 2008 11:27AM
Also I kinda with they added some crazy animation to SF2:HD.
Oh yes and PowerStone, Trojan, and a new POCKETFIGHTER!
Sadly I never played Dino Crisis 3.
Kye - Me_DF @ Oct 11th 2008 6:02AM
If ever I wanted to scream like a little girl who just got a magical pony for christmas, this was it.
Kye - Capcom DF @ Oct 11th 2008 6:16AM
Oh wait. I just watched it again without the tears and I noticed Dan.
Fuck it.
Oh well.
Psalm Bowser @ Oct 11th 2008 6:50AM
This site looks really weird in IE at the moment. I'm not on my Mac so I can't tell if it's the site's problem, or just my computer.
Megadanxzero @ Oct 11th 2008 7:04AM
Needs moar Akuma
JPRacer @ Oct 11th 2008 8:19AM
Why don't you mention it's also coming for the PC? Also, all the previous videos were running on a PC, like the arcade version.
t_m @ Oct 11th 2008 9:43AM
Is this gameplay footage from the console versions?
Cos it seems a bit pointless releasing a SFIV trailer in Japan when the arcade game has been out for ages.
That said, these guys have the best trailer editors! All games companies should hire these guys!
Proseven @ Oct 11th 2008 10:29AM
You may say what you want, but Max Payne 1 (2001), has better graphics than Street Fighter 4.
KingOfGods @ Oct 11th 2008 11:36AM
I hope you are joking
Psalm Bowser @ Oct 11th 2008 10:41AM
This game isn't relevant, for on June 27th, a fighting game that will last the ages was released. Of course I'm talking of teh Brawlz. It truly is a forever game.
SF, on the other hand, looks weary and full of decay. No amount of flashy video editing can change that fact. It looks inferior to the new KOF, less fun than that new VS series, and less chaotic than Guilty Gear, or Battle Fantasia. This is simply a nostalgia cash in, nothing more, and it makes me sick.
Keep failing Capcom.
Noshino @ Oct 11th 2008 10:57AM
"This game isn't relevant, for on June 27th, a fighting game that will last the ages was released. Of course I'm talking of teh Brawlz. It truly is a forever game. "
What? dude, even Nando, who claimed that Brawl would keep him busy for months, barely plays it now...

what? first of all, all of those games that you mentioned are more "flashy" than Street Fighter...
As for as hype due to nostalgia goes, well, Brawl easily takes that crown.
SF has one of the most solid mechanics, it doesn't rely on combos as much as many other fighters out there, and has original yet memorable characters...
Psalm Bowser @ Oct 11th 2008 11:17AM
I don't speak to Nando online and, as much as I respect you, Noshino, I can't take your word for it. I'm sure he's a Brawlaholic.
Yes, Street Fighter has solid mechanics. We all have our copies of SF2: Alpha in the cupboard, but times hvae moved on. SF2, and it's offspring, were great back in the day, but that was then: it needs to bring more to the table.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but they're bringing it back to SF2, simplifying it. If so, then this will be inferior to Brawl. SF2 doesn't hold up any longer. Basic and boring is how I would describe it. There are already games that do simple fighting better, and Brawl sits atop the pile.
SF won't last on nostalgia alone. I'm even hearing reports that even VF5, yes that tired game, is taking more money in Japan in arcades than SF.
novel @ Oct 11th 2008 11:36AM
Nintendo did the impossible with Brawl. They turned Melee, the Gamecube's saving grace, into a boredom called Brawl.
Noshino @ Oct 11th 2008 11:39AM
sure, let's see if he answers here, also, sheppy can also tell you that that was what Nando said.
thing is, SF4 does bring more to the table, you just don't want to see it. see, what you think is that they are simplifying the mechanics alone, but that isn't true, they are just making it more accessible by making it simpler for the "casual" fighting gamers and complex enough for the hardcore.
Proof of that? They got rid of the "only for hardcore" Parry system and included the Focus attacks
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_Fighter_IV#Focus_Attacks
also, there is no comparison between this game and SF2 when it comes to mechanics, what Ono meant by bringing it back to SF2 was about accessibility.
Also, where did you find that info about VF5 gathering more money than SF4 at the arcades? please don't tell me you were comparing ltd numbers...
TheOverlord#2 @ Oct 11th 2008 12:14PM
Now I would've loved if Brawl could last forever, but it can't.
The game is fun for the first month or two, but gets boring soon. The online play just killed the game.
Maybe if you have tons of hardcore gaming friends who play offline, then it can, but if if not...then the game will be dusted more than played. :(
Monkey Thing?!!? @ Oct 11th 2008 12:43PM
Huh, i still play Brawl when i have a 1 or 2 day gap in my play schedule for some reason or other
Always something to do, even if you don't want to partake in the frustration of random online play.
Samurai Female Who Destroys THINGS @ Oct 11th 2008 11:01AM
1.This game is super ugly.(IMO)
2.Capcom just remade Street Fighter 2 with this ugly art style.
3.I don't like it all.
4.Hopefully next time Capcom will go the 2-d sprite route.
5.But that's not going to happen anytime soon. (years/never)
Llama_egg @ Oct 11th 2008 11:22AM
While your entitled to your own opinion, I humbly have to disagree. I think the game looks amazing, and I love the route they are taking with the art style.
It's about time I get a fighting game that looks different, if I wanted sprites, I'll grab my Melty Blood AA when it hits consoles.
SexyKittyKat2U @ Oct 11th 2008 12:01PM
Who cares if Fernando is playing Brawl every waking moment of his life?
I play it almost every day with friends both online and offline.
Brawl is definitely a fun game. I find it a vast improvement over Melee in a lot of ways. The only thing I don't like about Brawl is that they destroyed some of my favorite characters.
Like Ganondorf for instance.
Other than that though Brawl is a solid game so really all the haters need to get real. There's a huge amount of people playing it.
Monkey Thing?!!? @ Oct 11th 2008 1:06PM
They killed two of my favorites: Marth and Ganondorf. Marth went from overpowered to meh, and Ganondorf went from overpowered to unusable. Kirby and Game and Watch were both improved, as Kirby (though my favorite Melee character) was definitely underpowered in Melee, and while Game and Watch was great, his mechanics were balanced even better.
Fortunately Ike replaced Marth in the overpowered department, and King Dedede replaced Ganondorf in the heavy hitter department
Urza @ Oct 11th 2008 12:28PM
Can't wait.
Bucket @ Oct 11th 2008 12:45PM
It's not a 'comeback' when the release dates of a few popular fighters happen to fall in the same couple of months.
SecretAgentHam @ Oct 11th 2008 12:54PM
this game will be AMAZING... assuming its anything like SF3:Third strike. Either way this is a day one purchase for me... the trailer sold me. lol... i feel like a demographic...
Koyzten @ Oct 11th 2008 1:05PM
I doubt they can make a comeback, they are just not compatible with the current gaming enviorement of more intuitive and fluid games.
They still retain their old and mediocre mechanics and systems.
Most people simply wont understand it, smash a few bottons and get bored.
Monkey Thing?!!? @ Oct 11th 2008 1:08PM
Its a question of whether or not they want to use this to make a comeback. Capcom is pushing the envelope in a number of fields across a few consoles, but they're also dedicated to their legacy projects
This could be one of them.
SoulBlade @ Oct 11th 2008 2:43PM
I'll buy this day one when its out, but I really hope they fix the lag issues that were reported sometime ago.
DangerMouse @ Oct 11th 2008 3:55PM
I've seen too much of this game over the past 4-6 months. So a new character pops up every other week. big deal. They need to show some new info on SSF2THDRemix, with some info on whether or not it's coming out this year.
ExMcCloud @ Oct 11th 2008 7:08PM
Looks great....Buying this for PS3 360's D-Pad sux...BUT I shall get RE5 for 360 so hopefully that evens out the amout of Capcom Karma on my systems...lolz
GearSecond!! (a.k.a AwesomeStuff) @ Oct 11th 2008 8:50PM
This game is like... sex on a stick!
