As if navigating the area wasn't hampered enough, the monstrously popular booth also saw its crowd overlap with the one swarming the opposing Square Enix booth. The bloggers foolish enough to pass through this patch of people (including the one who wrote these hands-on impressions) were forever lost and shall be mourned.
TGS 08: Monster Hunter 3 is kind of a big deal, pt. 2

Can anybody tell me how does London Games Festival(Eurogamer Expo specifically) compares against other shows when it comes to lines? I'd love to come with my mates but fuck waiting 3 hours to play Fallout 3 for ten minutes...
PS:I know the game will be out in shops by then, but hey.

No idea, as this is the first Eurogamer Expo. However, I'm trying to arrange a bunch of people to meet up. I've only posted on the Facebook Group so far, and the general concensus is that people aren't going to the expo.
Which I take to mean 2 things:
It won't be that busy there, or
I'm woefully unpopular.
We'll find out on the day.

Imagine disneyland.. but after queuing for 2 hours instead of getting onto an awesomely designed 5 minute ride, you get to watch the middle 10 minutes of a movie. ;-)
(though you'll probably spend the first 5 of those minutes trying to work out the controls).
The problem I had was that most of the games i wanted to play (Fallout, Farcry 2, etc..) don't condense well into 10 minutes of play.
I had more fun with more pick up and play games (platformers, getting my ass kicked at SF4, weird random japanese games i didn't understand.)
I'd recommend avoiding the big queues.

Your comment is confusing, makes no sense, and makes baby Jesus cry.
Was that meant to be a dig at the lack of internal Wii memory, cause i've had mine since launch, and with my 2gb SD card, i've never filled it. Now with the Wii update to play games straight from SD, i probably will never fill it all.

I kinda botched the execution of that, it was meant to be a clever dig at the "Geeks and Otaku" comment, suggesting that this would flood the console with Otaku, thus creating demand for a storage solution
On that note, the storage solution is misunderstood. You STILL can't play games directly from the SD Card, what they've implemented is something similar to the Guitar Hero IV solution, requiring you to have a buffer of a few hundred blocks of internal memory, which it will invisibly transfer the file in question to when you call it up

You both fail big time:

It's save to AND PLAY DIRECTLY FROM an SD card.

Foetoid definitely wins.
Until he reads the interview at IGN featuring Iwata where he says that the 'storage solution' is downloading straight to SD and nothing more.

Nintendo's done gone and done it. They've added a game to their lineup that's on my must-have list. Providing they can translate their Wiimote waggle into the swing of a 90lb. True Devil Slicer [it's a katana as long as your avatar's tall].

I dunno if it beats Super Mario Galaxy, but yeah, that's some impressive shit right there (for what they're working with). Definitely beats any third party effort, based on art style (or tech for that matter).

Those underwater clips weren't the best - check some more out at Gametrailers, as well as some of the above ground vids which look just plain spiffy.

This is THE top Wii game for me right now... barely beating Rune Factory Frontier. I can't wait for those 2 games! I have spent countless (literally I can't even guess how long, I may have even played during my sleep!) hours on their handheld counterparts... now I will have both of them for the same home console!

Yeah, I'm really thinking about getting a Wii just for this game. And maybe a replay of Okami. We'll see.

I am intrigued and aroused by news of this game. It has enlarge my stiffen and firm belief that the wii is not something that will flop after its immediate release. That it will come and come again to bring great amounts of pleasure to many people. It will goes to show you that shaking and thrusting movements only harden the market core inner market.
