TGS 08: Watch these Resident Evil 5 trailers

We're honestly starting to feel like Resident Evil 5 is this year's Metal Gear Solid 4. The game constantly generated enormous lines at the Tokyo Game Show, not only due to its playable demo but its multiple, action-packed trailers. Though not devoid of exciting gameplay footage, the content was clearly centered on the game's plot and remarkably high production values.

The difference between RE5 and MGS4 is that RE5 won't suck.

True but an even more important difference is that the gameplay for this game will make all the cinematics worth the wait.

Lord I had chills just watching the first one. Reminds of RE4 all over again.

Just because MGS4 wasn't AMAZING doesn't mean it wasn't a good game. I wasn't totally blown away by it but it had some great parts to it and an unforgettable story so I enjoyed it for that.

Man the characters in this game are lame. "Is it all worth fighting for?" I don't know, but it's fucking zombies, so there's not much choice, is there? RE is always so terribly melodramatic. It worked in RE4 because it was really sparse and usually just funny, but this looks like it's trying way too hard to be epic.

Nice to finally see some bosses, though. They're really where the art design gets a chance to shine, and they look pretty good this time around. Cannot wait for this game.

This is sort of ripping off an idea for a story I had, but I'm willing to forgive it just because of two reasons:

1.) There's no such thing as an original idea in writing anymore (not really).
2.) RE5 is gonna be uber-awesome.
