F@#$@$! BULL!@#$

I HATE RTS's THAT ONLY HAVE 2 RACES. YOU NEED VARIETY, wow, let me pick... humans or elites... that means all the good players are going to have the same strategy...

Take a look at LORD OF THE RINGS: Battle for middle earth II (BY FAR THE BEST CONSOLE RTS EVER!). It has over 5 races to choose from and all are different. All races have disadvantages and advantages. I think it's bull that HALO WARS WILL ONLY HAVE 2 RACES. Everyone will go straight for the best upgrade in each class which doesn't give the game STYLE or FINESE or VARIETY or SKILL.

They better have BRUTES as a 3rd race or the game will plain SUCK...

BULL@!#% F$#!

This is directed at LOSE.

It's not between Humans and Elites. It's between Humans and COVENANT. You forget, this is 20 years prior to HALO, the Elites havent split from the covenant yet.

And on the same point, there wouldnt be a 3rd race of brutes BECAUSE THEY ARE PART OF THE COVENANT

Word. Who wants to play the flood anyway? They are not interesting at all from a player perspective. Their strategy is incredibly simple and boring.

That being said, if you want an RTS with 3 races, get Starcraft 2. It looks fantastic.

actually this game will have 3 races playable from the start, but StarCraft 2 won't. just the humans. the other races are expansion packs. believe it. :/

Microsoft created a separate team for future Halo Wars projects.

That would have been cool... especially if one of their abilities was to "floodify" an opposing team's forces and turn them against that team.

That's why it wouldn't make sense. They're parasites, they wouldn't function like other factions in RTS games.

The Flood shouldn't be in Halo Wars to begin with.

How's the Flood gonna work?
All you gonna have will be a flood of Flood and charge at the enemy?
Not much of gameplay.
Think the end of Halo3.
One Warthog can zip through hundreds of them.

joyebeast is right, all the Flood would be good for are Soviet World War II era swarm tactics; i.e. select all units, attack, click on enemy unit. The only difference being that the Soviets sent swarms of real peoples to their deaths.

they really should have left the flood out of the game and focused it more on the Covenant. keep the brutes out as well. y'know keep it within the timeline?

Actually, the Brutes were the first members of the Covenant to make actual contact with the human race.

It's covered in the books.

ah, then well, keep the brutes in by all means. i don't think the flood needs to be included necessarily tho.

The Brutes were actually the first Covenant to ever step foot on Harvest.

The flood don't really have vehicles so all you would do is command a group of infection forms until you gather vehicles and stuff.
Which seems a bit boring to me.

Honestly I beleive that the Flood would be a great race to be playable and would add variety. Sure the current known strategy is just swarming the enemy, but their is always room for creating new never before seen units and tactics that the first person games never showed. While at it why not create a completley new Halo race even if it clashes with the story. I beleive every RTS should have at least 4 teams.
