Fanswag: Dead Space Launch Week Giveaway [update]

Dead Space, EA's freakishly disgusting survival horror game (in space!) storms retail shelves this week and in celebration, we've partnered with EA for a Dead Space Launch Week Giveaway. Spread throughout the week, we'll be holding two huge Fanswag giveaways where we'll be awarding fanboys all kinds Dead Space prizes including copies of the game. It's going to be a Fanswag'licious week and it all starts RIGHT NOW!

To kick off the Dead Space Launch Week Giveaway, today we're awarding five fanboys Dead Space prize packs. Three winners will receive a Dead Space mini-artbook, mini-poster, and a hardcover graphic novel and two lucky grand prize winners will receive all those goodies plus a copy of Dead Space. Remember, this giveaway runs from now through Tuesday night, so be sure to enter once each day. Enough talk, it's time to win!

I'm most excited about being scared on halloween from playing this game alone with the lights off.

The blood and gore excite me, lol.

Im excited because i dont know what to expect.

I like how there are really no huds. What I mean is that your health is monitored on your suit and what not. Looks awesome!

The space-isolation theme, I have been craving a game in this environment for a long time!

I love that there is no heads up display, and you got to love lasers on guns.

Everything from the Zero G gameplay to the graphics and just the whole idea for this game is awesome. DO WANT! And DO WANT FOR FREE!!

I am most excited to be scared. THis game remindes me of THE THING & that game was freaky! I have yet to find a game to scare me like RE2 did.

It's been a long time since a video game made me jump out of my seat so that and the story are what I'm looking forward to the most

The main character shares my name. The only other time Isaac was used in a game was Golden Sun i think.

The sweet outfits.

The most exciting thing, well its a Horror Game that I'd love to play over Halloween. Yea, because Halloween was fun as a kid (free candy), but as an adult not so much (buying candy that I can't eat!)

It's the first game you play as a miner since Dig Dug!

The fact there is no HUD and its all done with pop up holographix from the characters equipment....thats friggin awesome!

How about the fact that I'm actually interested in a Survival Horror game that isn't RE1 or SH2.

The thing I’m most excited about Dead Space is that to kill your enemies you have to strategically shoot off their limbs, and then finish them off.

Thats just awesome.

I love the fashion statement made by the main character.

Ever since Star Wars: Jedi Outcast I loved chopping my enemies into tiny pieces. Dead Space is the natural evolution of this.

Looks to be good for a scare and the graphic novels set up a great story. Looks to be a front runner for top Horror game of the year!

I'm most excited about the fact that EA is finally back to making AAA titles, in-house. When was the last time they did that? 1995 or something?

EA making triple-A titles in-house once again, is a clear sign the company is beginning to change their ways and go back to being the old EA that I used to love back in the 80s and 90s. Now if they would only drop all this nonsense about NFL exclusivity and allow for some real competition in the sports arena, then all would be good. But getting back to making AAA content in the in-house divisions, is definitely a start in the right direction. And I for one am very excited about that.

Now when is EA going to put Criterion to work, finally give us an update on Road Rash? Anyday now would be appreciated.
