Never personally had any issues with my psn downloads, always maxes out my (16meg) connection.

People are complaining that Sony is doing maintenance at a bad time and then would also complain if any online problems happened while playing Socom.

I almost agree with you, except, they had to have known this maintenance was coming, and they definitely knew what day SOCOM was launching - it's kinda silly to plan server maintenance for launch day - why not the day before? Or the week before for that matter? I mean, I'm not gonna cry a river over the downtime or anything, and it's really not gonna effect me personally, but it could have been handled better.

Since they are doing this today I'm going to GUESS that the 2.5 Update will come out TONITE......
but hell they could have gave us a couple of days notice.......I'm cool with it tho because its only a few hours, and MOST people wont be trying to play SOCOM until AFTER they get home from work/school and have time to relax.......so 7PM Eastern isnt THAT late for it to kick back in....I Probably won't even play SOCOM until the 2.5 update is released because I want to get the FULL effect of the BT headset

Eh, you know how this stuff is, it could go smoothly and be done in an hour or two. Or it could go badly and be like that XBL maintenance about a year ago that stretched on an extra 6 hours outside of the expected range.
Eh, It's also in the middle of the day here in the U.S., so that's immediately more logical than doing it at night like the other guys... But don't take that as a slam against MS, LIVE is a far more useful and usable service, I just don't like the way they schedule their upkeep at the hours I game... On one of the nights I game (Tuesdays)... It always affects me!
