I'll be excited in 2011 when this is finally done. I think Blizzard takes an unreasonable amount of time to develope a game.

Most definitely played the previous Diablo games. If you thought those got messy... wait until you have competing swarm spells, and a ton of slithering lampreys on the ground...

I'm really curious to see what they plan to monetize relative to the battle.net experience. I'm comforted at the knowledge b.net will at least not be subscription based.

So far my only complaint is that stat points are assigned automatically. I hope that they change that. I understand the problem that they're trying to solve (beginners making broken characters), but I think a lot of RPGs have a perfectly reasonable solution: an auto-assign button.

Or just simply have a button that allows you to reassign your stats. I never understood why that was such a problem. If the skill system is balanced enough it shouldn't break the game.

yes deadjesterx, either re-assign or a toggle to turn on/off auto assign stat point. Newb friendly, hardcore friendly

As long as they don't given into the demand to make it more "Gothic" we should be fine. I don't know how a style of architecture has anything to do with making the games lighting so bad you can see where your going, but apparently there was a petition to do so a while back.

Well sorry to disappoint you but they have definitely changed the lighting since the announcement video's. We now seem to actually have a lighting radius again and outside of it is dark, as it should be.

You actually had time to play around in your inventory and still be able to finish the demo? Did you have a press badge?

We had to book it through each sub level to make it to the skeleton king and kill him with the time they were giving you. There was no time for any sort of inventory/skill management! Just grab whatever was laying around and keep moving!

Also I don't know if it's been mentioned but you no longer have to hold down the alt key to see what's laying around. If you just tap it, it will toggle on for a period of time. Very handy.

PS Runes are awesome.

But, but... it's so boring :( . All the items look the same, the stretches of one enemy are far too long and there is too much useless loot.
