how exactly does this work? i just hope it
doesnt make things worse...there are many after market products like this, but i never trusted them.

with the homebrew dvd player out, i can use any ordinary lens cleaner i own already. I havent tried it out yet. :)

uhm... its not a software thing, its just a disc with a couple of brushes on the data side...

Yea but if you stick a normal DVD lense cleaner in it wont spin and clean your lense as the wii will not read it. With the homebrew dvd player it will read the normal dvd lense cleaners and clean your wii lens!!

Actually, I'm willing to bet that it would. The drive has to spin in order to check to see if it's a game disc or not.

Yes, but it only spins for one or two seconds and that isnt exactly enought to give your lens a good clean.

However feel free to insert the disc about 70 or 80 times in order to try and achieve the same effect!!

you CAN use a DVD lens cleaner but i bet my top dollar that this first party lens cleaner works much nicer.
